Lena Headey Divorce: Game of Thrones Star Splits From Husband

Thursday, July 26, 2012

LENA Headey is getting divorced.

The actress — who’s best known for her roles in Game of Thrones and 300 — has filed for divorce from her husband of five years, Peter Loughran.

While details of the divorce are brief, Headey cited “irreconcilable differences” in her divorce documents last week at the L.A. County Superior Court.

In Game of Thrones, Lena Headey plays the frigid Queen Cersei Lannister.

In a recent interview, Lena talked about Peter.

“He’s not an actor, he’s a normal man, “she said. “Well, he’s not normal; he’s Irish, but you know what I mean. We met at a friend’s wedding and had a little dance together; it was pretty serious, right from the start.”

Headey and Loughran have been separated since 2011, according to the divorce filing, and Headey splits her time between England and Los Angeles. She is requesting joint legal and physical custody of their two-year-old Wylie Elliot.
