Ann Curry Glad TODAY is Sliding

Tuesday, July 31, 2012

ANN Curry is happy that the TODAY show’s ratings are continuing to decline.

Ann was recently fired from her role as co-host and replaced with Savannah Guthrie, who now anchors alongside Matt Lauer.

“Ann feels completely vindicated by the TODAY show’s poor ratings since she left,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“She feels she was fired completely unfairly and wasn’t given a fair shot at the gig.

“Ann feels she was made a scapegoat by the network and that it’s the whole show that needed an overhaul, not her replacing.

“She feels they should have booked better guests and had a more exciting line-up and better stories to cover and better writing. Ann believes that point has been proved by the show’s ratings declining even further since she left.

“She has no hard feelings towards Savannah.

“There’s definitely no love lost for Matt Lauer though, who she feels threw her under the bus completely.”

Matt probably felt threatened by a strong women.  He can control the younger, silly acting ones better.

Well, if the Enquirer said it, it MUST be true. Seriously? Ann has far too much class to say anything like that. Besides, she’s smart and NBC is STILL her employer.

I hope she does feel good about the declining ratings.  She does deserve to feel vidicated! Matt probably felt threatened by her strength.  He can control the silly, youngsters on there now.

Why would anyone be surprised that the ratings fell after she left?? Wait until after the Olympics coverage. It’ll be worse yet  . .  . It was bad enough they gave Ann the boot but after SO many years devoted to the Today Show, her send-off was like that of a ”temp” that everyone grew to like in a short time and wanted to wish well. Meredith was given a HUGE send-off. What an insult to Ann, who nonetheless, got teary-eyed and was most gracious next to her back-stabber Matt Lauer. (I understand when he renewed his contract with NBC he commented that he didn’t want Ann as co-anchor). What a hypocrit!

Ann showed a coldness to Matt in London on the coverage of Adam Pretty. That’s because there’s no phoniness in HER. She acted exactly as one would expect her to. Professional, down-to-business, no “I miss you, too, Matt,” when we would have known she DIDN’T. Matt, now. Hmm. Do you really MISS her, Matt? Enough said.

The ratings should fall for what the did to Ann. Guess you find out who your freinds are
