Ann Curry Banned From Being Live on NBC

ANN Curry has been banned from appearing live on NBC.

According to New York Post gossip column Page Six, the newswoman — who was canned by Today last summer and named NBC News national and international correspondent/anchor and Today anchor-at-large — isn’t allowed to do live interviews.

“There’s growing friction because she’s been pushing for live interviews, but NBC will only air her taped interviews, presumably so they can edit them,” a source said.

“Ann keeps bringing live interviews to the table. She has great relationships with celebrities — including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — who will only sit down with her.”

I watched the Today Show religiously since 1992. When they let Ann go, I let them go. I switched to GMA and told everyone I know that they should do the same. I can’t believe I ever adored the “Today Show family.” They weren’t a family at all. NBC should be ashamed of the manner in which they treated Ann, a talented journalist and co-anchor with just the perfect and unique combination of heart, wit, knowledge, generosity of spirit and professionalism. I miss her and can’t wait until I get to tune in to her regularly again. Go get her CNN.

They’re afraid that she will bring their dirt out on live tv. They really messed it up by the way they handled her. Not cool!
