KRISTIN Davis wants to make a third Sex and the City movie!
After Cynthia Nixon shot down the idea of another movie in the franchise, stating, “I think it’s fine to let it go,” Davis says she’d like to reprise the role of Charlotte York Goldenblatt.
“I’m going to have a little talk with Cynthia the next time I see her!” the actress tells Haute Living magazine in its December issue.
“I don’t think [a third film] is a pipe dream, there is discussion. People talk about it amongst the people who are the players, but I don’t know if it will come together. It would be very exciting if it did.”
Back in 2011, Sarah Jessica Parker — who has played writer Carrie Bradshaw in six TV series and two movie installments of the romantic comedy franchise — said she was “pondering” a third Sex and the City movie.
“I think there is perhaps one more small, important story to tell,” Sarah said. “Whether or not we choose to do that and when we choose to do that remains, obviously, the unknown, but it’s nice to ponder.”
The first SATC movie made $415 million at the box office worldwide, the follow-up Sex and the City 2 was a critical bomb and made $288 million.
