
Actress Angelina Jolie has spoken out about the recent death of her mother, admitting that she has been struggling to cope with the loss.
The “Tomb Raider” actress, and “Ocean’s 13″ star Brad Pitt were at Marcheline Bertrand’s (Jolie’s mom) bedside when she lost her seven-year battle with ovarian cancer in January this year, at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Jolie – who adopted Vietnamese tot Pax two months after her mother’s death admits she still grieving after losing her “best friend”.
She says “I’m one of those people who walk around as if it’s fine, and then suddenly I don’t know why I’m crying over my breakfast. My mother was my best friend. I’m so grateful I had her as a mom.
“She had cancer for seven years, but she lived long enough to see my brother and I grow up to be quite happy. You almost get the feeling she held on until it was okay.”
