Newly reformed the pop band “The Spice Girls” have said that they had wanted to reunite for Sunday’s Concert for Diana but it was made impossible by the girls’ conflicting schedules. (McDonald’s probably needed Baby Spice to do a couple of shifts at the weekend)
The Girls have reunited for a World Tour, which is due to take place at the end of 2007, but the original five members of the group: Victoria ‘Posh Spice’ Beckham; Melanie ‘Scary Spice’ Brown; Geri ‘Ginger Spice’ Halliwell; Emma ‘Baby Spice’ Bunton and Melanie ‘Sporty Spice’ Chisholm wanted to make their first comeback appearance on Sunday.
Chisholm says: “We would have loved to have been there this weekend but the timing has been impossible for us.”
She also revealed why she backtracked on repeated promises the group would never reform, adding: “A girl is allowed to change her mind and also this is something that we have only seriously started this year really.”
Elton John, Tom Jones, Duran Duran, James Morrison, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Rod Stewart and Take That are among the starstudded line up for Sunday’s memorial gig.
