The son of the hip-hopping legend KRS-One has been found dead in his Atlanta apartment, apparently committing suicide. 23 year old Randy Hubbard Parker was found last Friday.

He had died of a gunshot wound to the head, medical officials said. His mother, Simone Parker, said Randy Parker – who was a graphics designer – had been suffering from depression.

KRS-One is best known for his hits such as Criminal Minded, Black Cop and The Bridge is Over.

A private funeral is to be held on July 18th, which would have been Mr Parker’s 24th birthday. A memorial service in New York where he was born is scheduled for August.
