Former ‘Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston has said that she will never play Rachel Green on ‘Friends’ again. The actress laid to rest all hopes for a ‘Friends’ reunion or movie after she said she wasn’t interested in playing her role again. The ten series hit show won Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

“There have been whispers of a ‘Friends’ movie for a while now, especially with the ‘Sex and the City’ film finally getting the go-ahead. But it can’t happen without Jen and she thinks ‘Friends’ has had it’s time and she should move on with her film career,” a source said. “I think if they were given the chance the rest of the cast would probably go for it but Jen sees playing Rachel again – even in a film – as going back, not moving forward.”

The source then goes on to say Aniston thinks that making a ‘Friends’ movie would be “a failure on her part” and she wants to gain more serious roles.

The hit US sitcom (Friends) first aired in 1994 and ended in 2004. The show also starred Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt Le Blanc, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow.
