Pete Doherty has sensationally and rather emotionally hit back at reports a few days ago that he had tried to commit suicide in rehab, such reports from the News of the World. Well, you can trust them!

The British newspaper claimed that the star had tried the old suicide routine because of the shock of finding out his ex-girlfriend had found a new boyfriend – so soon.

Doherty’s minder, Johnny Jeannevol, was quoted as saying: “Pete’s been really wound up over Kate showing off her new man. He told me he didn’t know what the pills were, and took the lot.

“He doesn’t care what drugs do to him – in fact, he loves finding out.”

But Doherty’s manager has insisted that the reports are “totally untrue”.
