Prince asks Amy Winehouse to duet with him

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been asked by ‘Purple Rain’ singer Prince to fly to his Minnesota home to work on a musical collaboration after Christmas.
A source close to the singer said: “He is a big fan of Amy and enjoyed performing with her in London recently, he was eager for them to work together sooner rather than later. So he just gave her a call and invited her out to the US.
“Of course, Amy was delighted and jumped at the chance to work with him. You don’t turn down Prince.”
Prince has reportedly made it clear Amy’s visit will be purely a business trip and has said that her husband Blake Fielder-Civil should not join them.
Last month, Amy made a surprise appearance at the after-show party for the final night of Prince’s 21-date residency at London’s O2 arena – and thrilled the crowd when they performed a rendition of Amy’s hit (from the album Back to Black) ‘Love Is A Losing Game’.
Previously, Prince has said that he was a “big fan” of the ‘Rehab’ singer – prompting her to gush: “I’m honoured. I’m a massive fan. I’d love to work with him.”
