Mischa Barton signs up to play a lesbian for new movie
According to reports former ‘The OC’ actress Mischa Barton has signed up to play a lesbian in her latest movie.
Barton is reportedly set to play a Russian teenager called Lana in new movie ‘Finding t.A.T.u’ – which is about two girls who fall in love at a t.A.T.u concert.
The film, which is based on a novel, tells the story of “Two teenage girls, called Janie & Lana, who fall in love after meeting at a t.A.T.u concert and are swept into a dangerous world of obsession, drug abuse and murder.”
t.A.T.u. were a fake lesbian Russian pop in who caused massive controversy in 2003 with their hit single ‘All The Things She Said’.
The accompanying video saw the girls, who were wearing school uniforms, share a kiss. It was later revealed they pretended to be in a lesbian relationship to boost publicity.
The new film is due for release next year.
Mischa, 21, has played a lesbian before. Her character in hit American TV show ‘The OC’, Marissa Cooper had a brief fling with wild child barmaid Alex.
