Leon is X Factor Winner on MySpace

The X Factor has finally come to a conclusion on MySpace, almost a month before the real competition comes to a close, as the social networking site reveals their own winner, voted by a mass amount of users online.
By setting up originally 12 profiles of the X Factor finalists, the Bebo rival was able to stick the knife into some contestants while giving others some reasons to be merry, as users showed which of the now 11 contestants they liked best.
The singers accepted to be part of the system, as it boosted their own profile, and helped personalize themselves into the social spectrum, something they have not been able to do so much, by simply adding basic information such as hobbies.
Surprisingly, this has grown to some fans taking likeliness to certain contestants. Maybe they have something in common?
Scottish singer Leon came out on top, as he achieved 1,213 friends, compared to 2nd best Futureproof, who managed a respectable 1,019. Old timer Beverley however was no match for the 18-year-old with only 453 friends.
However, some critics have voiced that the system is biased, as most users of MySpace appear to be between 18-35; hence this would not appeal so much to the older contestants. Despite Leon’s popularity, he is still on fringe with most of the judges, not convincing them in Saturday’s outing.
Reported by the News of the World, here is the complete list:
