Pete Doherty’s ex, Kate Moss was a bad influence on his band ‘Babyshambles’, according to the group’s drummer, Adam Ficek.
Ficek, who was in Munich for the MTV European Music Awards told Britain’s Mirror newspaper: “When Kate was with Pete that was all everybody cared about, and our music suffered.
“Kate was detrimental to the band. It was all about the lead singer and his girlfriend, not about the rest of the band.”
Adam also revealed that since Kate & Pete split in July the group has gone from strength to strength.
“Since she’s gone we’ve surprised ourselves at how well we’re doing,” said Adam. “We were doing well before she came on the scene.
“Pete’s much more focused now. There’s no way we would be invited to play at MTV with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Amy Winehouse if we were how we were when Kate was still around.”
