Eva Longoria has been branded “Diva” Longoria by staff at a top Hollywood hotel – by moving furniture around so she could sit by best pal, Victoria Beckham.

The Desperate Housewives star arrived at Los Angeles hotspot, the Chateau Marmont, and saw a group that included Posh Spice and Shakira.

And rather than sit where she was told to, Longoria began shifting chairs so she could join them.

A source told a US newspaper: “Eva ran straight over to Posh and started pulling up chairs around a big table so they could sit together.

“The host was furious. She told Eva, ‘You cannot bring any more chairs over here. This is a dining room.’”

The source went on: “Eva didn’t listen to her, and a head server had to start pulling the chairs from her and move them back to the dining area so people with reservations could sit.”

A spokesperson for Longoria, 32, was unavailable for comment.

She and Beckham have become pals since Posh moved to LA earlier this year. Longoria has said of her: “She’s so frickin’ funny! And I have such an appreciation for her style.

“She represents womanhood – being a mum, being a wife and still being fabulous. “That’s inspiring to me. I hope to be as dedicated to my husband and children as she is.”
