Britney Spears will be allowed to spend Christmas with her kids, according to US reports.

Celebrity website, TMZ has said that a judge has granted the Toxic singer visitation rights to see sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, on Christmas day.

Britney and Kevin Federline’s lawyers were at The Superior Court in LA to thrash out a deal today (Monday) in the latest custodial hearing.

Spears and Federline were not present for the date.

It was agreed that although Kevin will keep custody of the children, Britney will have access to see the kids on Christmas day. It’s a small victory for Britney, as she steps up her bid to prove to the court that she is a responsible mother.

At a previous court hearing on 8 November, K-Fed’s legal team said they want his ex-wife to have less visitation rights with their kids – because they claim she keeps missing random drug tests. The music star was ordered to take the drug tests after she was stripped of custody.

The boys are currently living with Federline, with the singer only allowed supervised visits until the custody battle is resolved. According to her lawyer, Anne Kiley, Britney has been finding it difficult to arrange court-ordered drug tests because of her busy pop star schedule.

Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan has previously told the court that Britney lives in a “parallel universe” and has accused Spears of failing to answer phone calls about the tests.

Yesterday’s custody hearing was the second court case involving Britney. In an earlier hearing, the singer faced charges of driving without a valid driving license.

A judge adjourned that hearing until January 2 in order to give the singer’s attorney Michael Flanagan time to collect evidence.

Spears will again be in court on January 23 in the next round of her ongoing custody battle with Federline.
