Lindsay Lohan has split up from boyfriend Riley Giles, it was reported today.
The Mean Girls starlet met the 25-year-old snowboarder in rehab in Utah. The pair were spotted on a string of dates in Los Angeles and New York.
But now friends say the relationship is over.
A US source said: “They’re over – they’ve broken up. They split after Thanksgiving weekend. It was fine when they were in Utah, just the two of them.
“But then they returned to L.A. and Lindsay was shooting a movie, photographers followed them everyone, she had meetings with this agent, that publicist, this director. His ego couldn’t take it.”
A pal revealed: “She is concentrating on her life and her career.”
Lohan, 21, met Giles while they were both being treated at Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehabilitation clinic. She checked out of the exclusive clinic at the start of October after entering in August, following a high-profile drink-driving arrest in Beverly Hills, California.
Her latest boyfriend won the approval of father Michael Lohan. He told People magazine after they began dating: “He’s a great, great kid. If you met him, you’d like him.”
It comes as Lohan gears up to record a new album. She is expected to start laying down tracks within the next two weeks. And she is gearing up for a cameo appearance on hit television drama, Ugly Betty.
But that has been postponed as a result of the ongoing Hollywood writer’s strike. A spokeswoman for Lohan did not return calls tonight.
