The costumes designed by Roberto Cavalli for the Spice Girls reunion tour

Spice GirlsThe Spice Girls will be more like glamour girls when they take to the stage for their reunion tour.

Not leaving anything to chance Victoria Beckham asked her Italian designer Roberto Cavalli to create a series of costumes for their big comeback.

When the curtain goes up the girls will stun fans with an array of outfits – from white and black tuxedos and silver space-age uniforms to leather corsets and shiny mini-dresses.

Posh, 33, says: “These costumes are fierce,” adding that she is happy, “As long as I can walk, talk and sing.”

And in true Posh Spice-style no expense has been spared. For example, their shiny mini-dresses are embroidered with Swarovski crystals and feathers.

The designer even gives a nod to the Nineties by recreating Geri Halliwell’s Union Jack dress that caused a sensation at the 1997 Brit Awards.

Cavalli, 67, says: “I have known Victoria Beckham for a long time, and have always admired her style and personality. “When we talked about the worldwide tour ‘The Return of the Spice Girls’, she put forward the idea of me creating all their costumes to which I immediately agreed.”

“At their debut, the Spice Girls generated a trend with their individual looks and now, 10 years later, they have put their trust in me to get a new, unique and iconic appeal for the tour.”

Describing the group as “one of the biggest global success stories” Cavalli adds: “When I met them, I immediately understood the reason why the world went crazy for their unique brand of ‘girl power’ as they are an irresistible mix of energy, pure joy, humour and a spicy dash of glamour.”

No Cavalli you got it wrong. They are just a marketing product with very little actual talent.. Girl Power was marketing ..nothing more.
