US TV viewers were gripped by the latest episode of Desperate Housewives with its killer cliffhanger ending.
The popular show, featuring the lives of the residents of Wisteria came to a dramatic close when a tornado swept through the town killing a central character.
But there are questions unanswered as there is a possibility that Felicity Huffman’s character’s family or Carlos Solis, played by Ricardo Chavira could have perished.
The ending echoes last season hostage crisis episode, where Lynette (Huffman) was shot and other characters were killed.
Desperate Housewives has become a big hit all over the world and has made stars of Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman. Series creator Marc Cherry said of the episode: “Causing all sorts of havoc, that’s when I am at my happiest.”
Because of the writer’s strike the next installment has been written – but has not been scheduled leaving US fans an anxious wait.
