Angelina Jolie will play a secret agent in her latest film role.
The actress has signed on to star in a movie based on real life spy, Kathi Lynn Austin.
The as-yet untitled action thriller will be made by Paramount Pictures and will focus on a fictional arms dealer inspired by Victor Bout, the shadowy Russian considered one of the world’s most prolific dealers in illegal munitions, trade newspaper Variety reported.
Austin has recently worked for the U.N. Security Council in Africa, Europe, South-East Asia and Central America, where she worked on field missions to stamp out arms smuggling and terrorism.
Tomb Raider star Jolie, 32, is currently shooting Clint Eastwood-directed draam, “The Changeling”.
