Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse got a visit from her friend Sadie Frost on Wednesday – after she phoned the fashion designer, in tears, pleading for help.

According to reports, Sadie, 42, most famous for her marriage to Brit actor Jude Law, got a tearful call from Amy – who is said to be distraught that her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is locked up in Prison – and dashed to her East London home, to the lend the ‘Rehab’ star some much needed support.

A source close to Amy, 24, said: “Amy is feeling really down at the moment. She is still using drugs and is struggling to cope without Blake.

“She has known Sadie for a few years. Sadie has a lot of life experience, and is always happy to give advice to her friends. She went to see Amy and talked to her for two hours. She left at 8am.”

Previously, Amy has had an early morning visit from ‘Babyshambles’ rocker Pete Doherty – who popped round Winehouse’s pad at 4am on Monday to help her move from her Camden house to her new home in Bow.

But Amy’s friends are said to be worried by her close friendship with troubled drug addict Pete.

One friend said: “The last thing Amy needs at the moment is to be around someone with such an obvious problem with drugs. She needs her true, clean friends around her to help her through this difficult time.”

Amy’s husband Blake is currently locked up in London’s Pentonville prison, where he awaits trial on charges of GBH and perverting the course of justice.
