UK radio host Johnny Vaughn has claimed Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney kissed him at Monday’s Led Zeppelin gig.

Vaughn, who hosts Capital Radio’s breakfast show, revealed: “I was drinking with Noel Gallagher back stage at the Led Zeppelin gig and out of nowhere Paul ran up to me and started kissing me!”

“He actually calls me up and asks me if I can interview him”, Vaughn revealed to London’s Metro newspaper at the London radio station’s Help A London Child auction.

Meanwhile, Paul, 65, is to be honored with the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at next year’s Brits.

When Paul scoops the award in 2008 – it’ll be the first time multi-millionaire music legend has attended the Brit awards, which first began in 1977.

Ged Doherty from the Brits Committee, said that having Paul accept the gong would be an “historic moment” for the awards. “Sir Paul McCartney is one of the greatest songwriters of all time and a member of Britain’s biggest ever group,” he said.
