Colin Farrell says the health of four-year-old son is improving

Colin FarrellActor Colin Farrell has told how the health of four-year-old son – who has a rare genetic disorder – is improving.

The Miami Vice star said tot James is getting better.

And the Irish-born actor, 31, said he was looking forward to spending the Christmas holidays with the youngster, who has the rare neuro-genetic condition Angelman Syndrome.

Farrell told a US magazine: “He’s good.”

Asked if he was looking forward to some bonding time with James, he said: “Yeah, absolutely. “All the family will be together. What are we going to do? Nothing. The usual – watch movies, eat food … take it easy.”

Farrell shares custody of James with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave, the boy’s mother. When he revealed his son’s struggle with the disorder in October, Farrell said James shows “amazing courage”.

He added: “[I'm] incredibly blessed to have him in my life.”

Angelman Syndrome means James is likely to have intellectual and developmental delay, speech impediment and seizures.
