Actress and tabloid queen Sienna Miller has been nominated for a Bafta.

The 26-year-old actress, who received warm reviews for her role as Andy Warhol’s muse in Factory Girl, is up for the Orange Rising Star Award.

Miller became a regular in the newspapers during her relationship with actor Jude Law and their subsequent split.

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, Chinese actress Tang Wei and Juno’s Ellen Page have also made the shortlist.

Finola Dwyer, chairman of the Bafta Film Committee, said: “We’re sure that the five nominees for the Orange Rising Star Award will ensure that this will be one of the most exciting awards of the night.”

The winner, voted for by the public, will be announced at next month’s ceremony.
