Linda Lusardi moves skating partner into her home for last minute practice

Linda LusardiDancing on Ice’s Linda Lusardi has moved her skating partner into her home to get some last minute practice she has revealed.

The ex-page three girl admitted that ice-skating pro Dan Whiston was staying with her and her family – and practicing lifts on her 11-year-old daughter Lucy.

But she insisted her husband, actor Sam Kane, was fine with it. Lusardi said: “Daniel’s moved in with me you see.

“He (Sam) knows, he’s cool with it, he loves him too. So we’ve been doing lifts in my hallway and he practices on my 11-year-old first because she weighs nothing. And he holds her up and says, ‘right I want you like this’.

“When I do it she sits there saying ‘oh mum I thought he was going to drop you’. And we’ve got this big grandfather clock and the other day I nearly went flying into the grandfather clock.”

Whiston skated with Lusardi’s Emmerdale co-star Emily Symons on the contest last year.

Lusardi said: “She said ‘you’ve got to have Daniel, you just must have Daniel’. “So when he walked on the ice I was just absolutely thrilled. “I am so lucky to have him, I adore him.

“He’s kind and gentle and he’s there for you and if you ran into him and tried to knock him over you couldn’t. It’s like dancing with a brick wall.”

Lusardi was speaking on This Morning.
