Britney Spears tried to take her mind away from her problems with a visit to her local curry house but was joined for dinner by the paparazzi.
The troubled pop star, who has reportedly split with paparazzo lover, Adnam Ghalib visited The Great India Cafe in Los Angeles for a late lunch.
Unfortunately, her plans for a bhaji were scuppered, after she was besieged by the paparazzi, and she left without ordering a thing.
Spears, 26, went for the curry that never was by an unknown friend and not, Ghalib, born in Birmingham, a place renown for its great UK curry houses.
The waiter who served Britney, Julius revealed: “She came in and was followed by at least 25 photographers.
After she sat down, our valet came into the restaurant to ask her for her car keys to park her car. She was looking in her handbag and couldn’t find them, so she went back to the car with her friend.”
Julius reveals that Britney was confronted by the paparazzi as she went back to her car, and that may have put her off eating.
“When Britney went outside to find her car keys she left in the car for the valet, the paparazzi started to take lots of pictures. She got into the car with her friend and left.”
Britney spent 15 minutes in the curry house, and didn’t order any food or drink, but asked Julius to go to a local shop to buy her some cigarettes, which she left behind in the restaurant.
Julius revealed: “She asked me to get her a packet of Marlboro’s, which we don’t sell in the restaurant, so I had to go to the shop for her. She left them behind when she left the restaurant to check in her car.”
Julius added: “She seemed like a very nice person, and it would’ve been a dream for me to serve her. Sadly it wasn’t to be. I would have liked to have recommended her some dishes.”
