Kirstie AlleEmmy Award winning actress Kirstie Alley has revealed that she used to “hate” people until she found Scientology.

The ‘Shoot to Kill’ star – who has reportedly donated $5 million to the mysterious cult – which counts Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes & John Travolta as members – and last month claimed that Scientology had saved her life, said that she used to prefer animals to “irritating” human beings before she joined the religion.

She said: “I am a different being, and I mean entirely different. My viewpoint on the fourth dynamic and mankind and other people changed. You know, I liked animals more than people! OK, I liked certain people, but the idea of ‘mankind’ – it really irritated me!

“Then I realized why mankind upset me so much – it’s because I wasn’t taking responsibility! Now, I have genuine affinity for mankind.”

Alley, known for her role as Rebecca Howe in American sitcom Cheers, is now hoping to help the world by encouraging the whole of humanity to join the religion.

She added to Scientology magazine Source: “I’ve made decisions here, big, crazy, great, brilliant decisions here about the magnitude I’m going to help this group and help this planet, and it’s real. I want everybody in the universe to experience this.”

Last month, the 57-year-old actress praised the religion – founded by sci- fi author L. Ron Hubbard – in a promotional video called ‘Orientation: A Scientology Information Film’.

She said: “Honest to God truth, without Scientology, I would be dead. Personally, I recommend it.”
