The Cry Me A River star dons a hilarious 90s outfit and huge specs for the latest Gnarls Barkley tune.

The video for “Run” centers around fictional public access TV show ‘City Vibin’, with Timberlake appearing as the host of the programme.

Gnarls Barkley duo Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse then perform their track on the show.

“Justin volunteered to be in the video,” Cee-Lo told MTV News. “I think he had a relationship with the directors, and his name might have casually come up in conversation.

“We’ve met on numerous occasions and Justin’s a really cool dude, and he did his thing.”

He added: “It’s a take-off on those old retro dance shows, stuff like ‘American Bandstand’.”

“Run” is Gnarls Barkley’s first single from their forthcoming album “The Odd Couple”, which is being released on April 8.

The video has been at the center of controversy, with the duo having to re-edit it because it contained strobe effects that could trigger epileptic fits.

Gnarls Barkley are currently rehearsing for summer tour dates, which include a shows in Los Angeles and at US and European music festivals.
