Kiss rocker Gene Simmons was almost in tears when he lost his beloved dog on a reality TV show.
The guitarist and singer, who stars with his family in ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ lost ‘Snippy’ when the front gate of their Los Angeles mansion was left open on the reality show.
After a search around the local neighborhood the Simmons’ family have little luck in finding their dog, and retire back to the house to call a pet rescue expert.
Simmons, 58, then takes to the sky in a helicopter with the pet rescue expert in the hope to find Snippy.
After still failing to find the dog, a visibly upset Simmons has to play a scheduled gig in front of thousands of fans.
Just before the star is about to perform, Gene is reunited with Snippy, after the pet rescuer finds him at the next-door neighbour’s house and brings him to Kiss’s show.
Earlier in the episode the unlucky pooch was collected from a vet after having an operation to repair a broken leg.
Simmons describes his dog as, “more important than my wife and kids.”
