Jennifer Aniston warned to stay away from Owen Wilson

Jennifer Aniston’s friends have warned her to stay away from Owen Wilson — because he’s got “too much baggage”.

The pair’s relationship has blossomed while filming their new movie ‘Marley & Me’ in Miami, but friends are secretly worried — and have warned the former ‘Friends’ actress that Owen simply has too much baggage.

And Owen’s friends are worried that if the actor gets back into his old drinking habits again, it could have dire consequences.

Last summer, Owen, 39, was rushed to hospital after a bout of depression led him to take a fistful of pills and slit his wrists in a failed suicide attempt.

“He came really close to killing himself last summer, we’re afraid that any kind of relapse will end badly,” said a friend of the Wedding Crashers actor. “He was lucky last time.”

“Let’s hope Jen’s just coming on to Owen because he’s still finding his feet and needs being made a fuss of,” Jen’s pal tells the National Enquirer. “But to be hugging Owen off-camera is playing a dangerous game!”

Another pal of the unlucky in love actress added: “Jennifer and Owen totally connected.

“It was a surprise because she admitted being worried about Owen soon after his frightful meltdown.

“In Marley and Me, Jennifer plays Owen’s wife with a lot of tender pillow talk scripted and dozens of people watching.

“So when the work’s done and they head off the set holding hands, it’s not hard to imagine what people are whispering.

“They openly flirt on the set, then hand out and even disappear together when they wrap for the day.

“But one wrong move here and Jen’s likely back where she started – dumped, all alone and not knowing why.”

Since Jennifer’s divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005, she has dated a string of hunky men, including Vince Vaughn, British model Paul Sculfor, and Sex and the City star Jason Lewis. More recently, though, she hooked up with her ‘Traveling’ co-star Aaron Eckhart while filming in Vancouver, and a set-worker she met while filming on the Canada set.

But Jennifer’s friends think her relationship with Wilson is just another attempt to right her romance ships.

“Trace it back to Brad, then Vince then Paul, then Brian, and now Owen,” adds the first pal. ” Jen can deny it, but she’s still floundering from Brad dumping her.

“She flits from man to man because at the back of her mind she still thinks something’s not quite right with her.

“So even if she met Mister Perfect, he’d still fail the Jen test!”

“It’s funny if you’re watching Jen’s antics from afar. But being Jen can’t be that much fun.

“She’s got to be wondering whether or not she’s even lovable.”

Fears that Owen will see the same fate as Jennifer’s other male friends are echoed by the second Aniston pal, who also blames the actress’ ways on Pitt.

“The world saw Jennifer cut loose and falling apart when Brad called it quits,” adds the second pal.

“Under no circumstances can it ever be allowed to happen again.

“That has to mean every new man Jennifer gets close to is really living on borrowed time.

“She already shudders at being seen as love’s loser, so her defense is always up.

“She’s a strong willed, successful, wealthy and independent woman. She just needs someone that and more to convince her to relax and enjoy life and risk falling in love.

“Until that happens, heaven help whoever flips for her and that especially includes Owen Wilson.

“The last thing he needs is another heartbreak sending him off the edge again!”
