Lindsay Lohan has signed up to star as Nancy Pitman, one of Charles Manson’s cult followers, in new movie Manson Girls.
The film’s producer, Brad Wyman of Junction Films, confirmed Lohan’s casting.
“Yes, I am doing it with Lindsay,” he told E! News.
And despite the fact the 21-year-old actress has had some recent brushes with the law and just completed a stint in rehab, “the production company is insuring her for the film.”
Lohan has been busy back at work since checking out of rehab last fall. She’s also recording a new album and will costar in an upcoming Jack Black movie, Ye Olde Times.
But she doesn’t see this as a “comeback”.
“I think this is what I love to do,” she said. “I’m just continuing to do it – in the right ways.”
Lohan next appears opposite Jared Leto in Chapter 27, a film examining the life of John Lennon killer Mark David Chapman. It opens in limited release this weekend.
