LONDON — Amy Winehouse will be arrested later this afternoon after allegedly attacking a man during a drugs fueled rampage earlier this week.
The singer, 24, is set to speak with Scotland Yard detectives after a 38-year-old man made a complaint to police in Kentish Town that she had assaulted him.
The troubled star allegedly headbutted an onlooker who attempted to help her get a taxi, because she thought he was trying to molest her.
She also was alleged to have punched a second person in the face.
Amy’s rep said: “Amy Winehouse will be voluntarily attending a London police station today by appointment with the police.
“We understand that she will be questioned in connection with an alleged incident in Camden in the early hours of April 23 2008.”
One of the men Amy is accused of attacking, Mustapha el Mounmi, 27, said, “I feel so angry. She smashed my face hard. I could not hit back — she’s a woman,”
The singer — worth an estimated $20m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List — failed to turn up and support her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, for a court appearance today.
She has also been accused of bringing shame incarcerated Blake, who is being held in London’s Pentonville Prison accused of assault and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
Blake’s mom, Georgette Civil, said: “Blake will get stick about this from fellow inmates.
“Her behavior has spiraled out of control. She’s made a complete fool of herself and I hope my son divorces her.”
