Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer’s cozy lunch was down to one person — Sheryl Crow.
The singer-songwriter knows that the pair are “looking for that special someone” so thought they should hook up.
Crow credits the former ‘Friends’ actress with helping her battle breast cancer, and is a long time friend of John, whom she toured with in 2006.
A source said: “Sheryl thinks the world of both Jen and John, and knows that they’ve both been looking for that special someone.
“So while Sheryl is doing tour dates in Florida, she decided to set the two of them up on a date in Miami.”
Jennifer, 39, and John, 30, dined together at Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink in South Beach on Friday afternoon April 25. The restaurant opened its doors for the pair early at 3:30 p.m. for the 90-minute meal.
“Jen and John looked very happy together,” said an eyewitness.
“They felt so comfortable with each other that they ate of each other’s plates. Jen had a bite of John’s ham sandwich between bites of her chopped chicken salad. And they shared a chocolate-peanut butter candy bar dessert.
“They walked arm and arm as they left the restaurant.”
Later that evening they had a romantic dinner that lasted until 1 a.m. at the romantic Italian restaurant Casa Tua .
“Their next date could be a Sheryl Crow concert,” the source tells the National Enquirer. “[Cheryl] is doing gigs up and down the coast all this week.
“After all, they owe her a big ‘thank you’.”
Aniston is in Miami filming Marley & Me with Owen Wilson.
