David Beckham films guest appearance for Sesame Street
David Beckham has filmed a guest appearance for children’s television show Sesame Street.
The LA Galaxy soccer player stars alongside Elmo to introduce a new word to the show’s millions of young viewers.
David — who has three children with wife Victoria Beckham — chose the word ‘persistence’ and went on to explain why it was so important to him.
A source said: “David has always been a huge fan of the show. When he was a kid he watched it and was more than happy to go on.
“He loves dealing with kids and thought it would be a great way to get through to them. He has developed a great understanding of children because of his own boys and coaching at the Beckham soccer schools.”
Robert De Niro, Jamie Foxx, REM and James Blunt are just a few names to have made an appearance alongside puppets Bert and Ernie, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and Count von Count in the hit show.
