Peaches Geldof quizzed over drugs video

Peaches GeldofWayward Peaches Geldof has been quizzed by police over a video that showed her buying drugs.

Peaches — the daughter of Paula Yates who died from a heroin overdose aged just 41 in September 2000 — could now face charges.

Her questioning follows the arrest of Amy Winehouse earlier this week.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “At 11am on Thursday Tower Hamlets officers met a 19-year old woman by appointment and interviewed her in connection with an allegation of unlawful possession of a controlled drug.

“She was not arrested but interviewed under caution at a premises in central London, not a police station.

“Reports will be submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).”

The CPS will now decide whether to prosecute, although a spokeswoman said that they were not aware of the receipt of any reports so far.

However, recent reports suggest that it’s unlikely Peaches — whose dad is Bob Geldof — will be charged with possession of drugs because it is notoriously difficult to prove beyond doubt what the substances in the video were.
