Sex Pistols rocker John Lydon has said he’d love to write a song for Britney Spears.
The punk legend, also known as Johnny Rotten, said, “I haven’t written a song for Britney yet but I would love to.
“I’d like to help out because there’s a girl who needs some help.
“She’s been hurt. And hurt is the root core essence of good music.”
Meanwhile, Britney, 26, reportedly has a new man — who has received the seal of approval from her dad, Jamie.
The Toxic singer last week made her first formal public appearance in months at the 50th birthday party of fashion mogul Christian Audigier, where she was spotted with Jason Trewick.
Trewick, according to sources, has known Britney for years; and Jamie has been telling friends he is a “stabilizing influence” on his daughter.
A source said, “Jamie thinks Jason would be a great match for Britney.
“She always had a thing for bad boys but now she realises good guys can be attractive, too.”
