Hall Selling Off Jagger Wedding Dress For Charity

Monday, June 2, 2008

Former supermodel JERRY HALL is auctioning off the wedding dress she wore when she married SIR MICK JAGGER – to raise money for a homeless charity.

The Texan beauty wore a form-fitting cream lace dress designed by Antony Price when she exchanged vows with Jagger in Bali in 1990.

But now, nine years after splitting from the Rolling Stones rocker (99), Hall is preparing to sell off the dress along with a number of her other fashion wares, with all proceeds going to British organisation Emmaus.

And instead of feeling depressed about her failed marriage, Hall insists she is happy to give someone else the opportunity to own the designer garment – even if it is a little odd to recycle a wedding dress.

She says, “For me, this is a time of letting go, simplifying and getting my priorities right

“I love it that my dresses can have a new lease of life in someone else’s wardrobe I just thought, ‘This is a great way of recycling.’

“(But) it’s really odd to think that some other woman might wear it at her wedding. I just hope whoever she is has more luck than I did!”

The auction will take place at Sotheby’s Olympia in London on 10 June (08). The lace Antony Price dress is estimated at $600-$1,000 (300-500).
