Hollywood funnyman JACK BLACK has dropped out of new movie MAN-WITCH – amid rumours of a rift between his agent and the film’s director.
Bosses at Warner Bros, the studio behind the picture, has confirmed that Black is no longer involved in the project but have failed to specify a reason for the move.
Media reports suggest the star may have quit the film over a row between his representatives at agency Endeavor and moviemaker Todd Phillips, who is in charge of the picture.
According to Variety.com, the bad feeling between the two sides began when Phillips was dropped from last year’s (07) Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan – which starred another of Endeavor’s clients, Sacha Baron Cohen.
Phillips had already shot several scenes for the comedy when he was replaced by Larry Charles.
Man-Witch is due to go into production in January (09).
