British rocker CARL BARAT has been admitted to hospital, suffering from severe stomach pains.

The Dirty Pretty Things frontman checked into a clinic in the U.K. on Tuesday morning (17Jun08), where he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis.

He has been ordered to remain in hospital until the weekend (21Jun08) for further observation and testing.

As a result, Dirty Pretty Things have been forced to postpone their upcoming charity gig, which was due to take place on Friday (20Jun08) at the London Hackney Round Chapel.
