ROLLING STONES star RONNIE WOOD has entered rehab in a bid to tackle his alcohol addiction, following his alleged affair with a Russian cocktail waitress.
The legendary rocker flew back to England on Wednesday (16Jul08) after a short break in Ireland with 18-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova.
Wood’s wife Jo recently confirmed rumours he is drinking heavily again – admitting she is seriously worried about the 61-year-old’s health.
A spokeswoman for Wood says, “Following Ronnie’s continued battle with alcohol he has entered a period of rehab.
“His close family and friends say he is seeking help and look forward to his recovery.”
Wood checked himself into London’s Priory Clinic last month (Jun08) after a wine-tasting session. According to his spokesman, he feared he would miss his daughter Leah’s wedding if he did not seek treatment after drinking the wine.
