Lily Allen Finishes Second Album
Lily Allen has finished work on her eagerly-awaited second album.
The album, the follow-up to her hugely-successful 2006 debut Alright Still, is expected next year. Lily, 23, has been working sporadically since last November with producer Greg Kurstin of the Bird and the Bee.
“I’m pretty much sure it’s finished and I’ve got a meeting with the label. I’m really happy,” Lily says.
The 23-year-old ‘Smile’ hitmaker also revealed she has been working with Klaxons’ frontman Jamie Reynolds.
She said, “We had our studio session and enlightened each other.
“We did a cover of Joe Jackson’s Steppin’ Out.”
Jamie added, “…and that wonderful song we’re yet to finish.
“We’ve put a bit of work in and we’re getting somewhere near a flow. It’s going all right. We go in today to do the second session on it.
“We’ve got another two weeks to hopefully come up with something.”
