Madonna is back on speaking terms with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie — and it’s all thanks to her recently-adopted daughter Mercy James.

The singer invited Guy — who she divorced earlier this year after seven years of marriage — to meet the Malawian tot this past weekend.

The movie-maker spent Friday night with Madonna, 50, and four-year-old Mercy, according to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper.

“He met her at Madonna’s house and they bonded immediately,” a source told the tabloid.

“He nicknamed her Koala, as she has this habit of clinging to people and not letting go.”

Guy, 40, also went to the London Kabbalah Center with Madonna and Mercy, as well as her daughter Lourdes, 12, and their two sons David Banda, three, and Rocco, eight.

At the time of their split it was claimed the Holiday singer’s desire to adopt again was the final straw for Guy. Insiders say Madonna is over the moon that the Snatch director is becoming part of the family again.

Joe Jackson yesterday denied claims Michael, who died Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest, would be buried at his Neverland ranch. “That’s not true,” said the Jackson patriarch of the rumors.

AEG, the company behind the tragic King of Pop’s 50-night comeback tour, are also talking to Michael’s Jackson 5 costar brothers about appearing on stage to back her.

“Janet has been sounded out about fronting some of the shows,” an insider told British newspaper The Sun.

“A number of discussions have taken place and things are looking hopeful.

“Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon have been approached as well, with the idea that they would perform as the backing band.

“A highly technical version of MJ as a silhouette performing on stage has been discussed.

“It is possible to create an impression that Michael is actually there, giving fans a place to mourn and celebrate his music.

“Executives are keen that they do go ahead.”

It was recently reported that Justin Timberlake could be stepping in to save the day.

“Michael was Justin’s idol, like he was for many artists,” said a source close to the Sexy Back singer. “Right now he’s still in shock but already there is a big feeling that he and maybe some others in the entertainment industry should do something to show their admiration for Michael and his music.

“Michael was working so hard to make his comeback in London work so it would be fitting if Justin and some of his friends fulfilled at least some of that commitment in some small way.”

The King of Pop — who died Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest after he apparently overdosed on painkillers — was said to have consumed “mountains of medication” as he battled numerous disorders in the year leading up to his tragic demise.

Jackson’s many prescriptions were bought under the fictitious name Omar Adams.

He took drugs like the narcotic pain reliever Vicodin, muscle relaxant Soma and sedative Xanax.

He also took antidepressant Zoloft, anti-anxiety drug Paxil and heartburn pill Priolosec, according to British newspaper The Sun.

“Randy (Jacko’s brother) was due to be sent a copy of the autopsy yesterday, but the coroner’s office still haven’t sent it,” said Jackson family lawyer Brian Oxman.

“But the autopsy details from you [The Sun] — as you can expect — unbelievably awful, horrifying reading.

“The family response? ‘Oh My God’. That’s what they shouted. They kept saying, ‘Oh My God’.

“They suspected the drugs were harming Michael — but not as badly as this. They are beside themselves, it’s truly, truly, awful. What is crucial to them is not the drug types Michael was taking, but the quantities he was taking them in. (continue)

Amy Winehouse has adopted several stray dogs while on vacation in St Lucia — and she’s had to fumigate her villa because of the smell!

The Rehab singer has been bringing home pooches from the beech and worried resort managers have insisted on having her holiday home cleaned as they fear Amy’s new companions could be carrying diseases.

“Management initially turned a blind eye to what Amy was doing,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “But she’s adopted about five or six dogs now. They’re all strays without the proper vaccinations and they all have fleas.

“The management did not want the risk of any of the fleas infecting any of the other rooms, so they got a firm of fumigators in to blitz Amy’s quarters and told her not to bring any more animals on site.”

The Jackson family will be presented with a number of offers to shoot a biopic of the King of Pop once they have overcome their grief following Jackson’s death last week.

“There are a number of offers being drawn up with a variety of angles to tell Michael’s incredible life story,” reveals a Hollywood insider. “Some involve using archive footage of Michael and his family and footage from his live shows.

“A couple would even have an actor cast to play Michael. Jamie Foxx has been mentioned, as has Johnny Depp. It all depends on how his family decide to honor him.”

Hayden Panettiere missed her chance to meet her hero Michael Jackson — because of her hectic work schedule.

The actress grew up on the King of Pop’s music and was so excited when she thought she may meet him at a party.

“The Heroes schedule is grueling. Twelve to 14 hours a day straight,” she says. “There is no sitting down, for sometimes six or seven days a week.

“The only reason I missed meeting Michael Jackson is because on Halloween when I was supposed to go to a party that he was at, they had us working from 3pm to 7am and I missed Michael Jackson. I am so upset because I am a huge fan.”

Cruz, 35, recently revealed that she doesn’t spend ages getting dressed.

“I think every woman likes clothes but I don’t put a lot of time into that,” she said. “I don’t like doing long fittings and putting a lot of time into that.

“When I am not doing this promotional kind of thing I am always in casual clothes like jeans and T-shirts. We have to use these beautiful dresses for the premieres and all of that.”
