Edward Furlong was sectioned after threatening to commit suicide, his estranged wife has claimed.

Rachael Kneeland – who is in the process of divorcing the 31-year-old actor — has been granted a temporary restraining order against Furlong, after complaining his drug use is out of control and he has become violent towards her.

Papers filed in Los Angeles superior court asking for a permanent order said, “Edward’s drug use has escalated along with attacking me and threatening my life.”

According to the documents, Rachael says that on September 23, Edward “grabbed me, bruised me, pushed me… left messages saying he would hire people to come and beat me with chains and bats. He is smoking cocaine and doing other various drugs. He is very unpredictable.”

Edward then allegedly sent more than 20 threatening messages to her, and was in “lockdown after threatening suicide and I called 911”.

A temporary order, forbidding the star from going within 100 yards of his estranged spouse, was granted on September 25, with a full hearing set to take place on October 20.

A spokesperson for the Terminator 2: Judgement Day actor — who has a three-year-old-son, Ethan, with Rachael — said he plans to fight the ruling, insisting the allegations are false.

The representative said, “Mr. Furlong vehemently denies all allegations that have been made and is currently working with his legal team to have this temporary restraining order extinguished.

“Unfortunately, the two parties are going through a very contentious divorce and custody battle. Eddie’s main concern is his son, Ethan, and moving forward with his life.

“Eddie has been sober for more than five years and is preparing to begin production on a new film.”

A friend of the star — who is due to start filming The Green Hornet later this week — denied he is using drugs but claims the split is taking its toll.

“He has gotten really upset — anybody would,” the pal said. “We’re trying to get him back to a place where he’s calming down and talking to everybody.”

Rachael, 25, filed for divorce in July, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple married in April 2006 after they met on the set of independent movie Jimmy and Judy.

Keen animal rights activist Edward — who shot to fame aged 13 — has a history of alcohol and substance abuse problems and has had several stints in rehab.

The Celebration singer -– who has daughter Lourdes, 12, son Rocco, nine, and adopted children, David and Mercy, both four — is incredibly busy raising her family and touring, but hasn’t ruled out the possibility of extending her brood further.

Asked if she will be a mother again, she replied, “Who knows? I have my hands full right now! I have no idea! That’s all I’m going to say. But we never say never.”

Although she wants more children, Madonna — who is rumored to be planning to marry toyboy Jesus Luz – won’t be extending her family in the near future as she has several charity projects and movie ventures filling her spare time.

“I have several projects going,” she said. “I have another script that I’ve written, and I want to direct another film. Hopefully, I’ll be doing that next year. I also have many projects going on in Africa right now that I want to bring to fruition, like building a girls school and working on two new documentaries.”

If Madonna does decide to have another child, she will get plenty of support from her eldest daughter.

“Lourdes is super-sister,” said the pop superstar. “She’s amazing with the little ones. She has the typical relationship with her brother, Rocco. They’re like, ‘I love you/I hate you’ every five minutes. But with the two little ones, she’s great. She’s amazing. Very protective.”

Lourdes appears in the video for Celebration but her mother doesn’t believe she will follow in her footsteps as she prefers to act, an ambition the singer has vowed to support.

“I don’t think she wants to be a singer,” she said. “I think she wants to be an actress. I’m fine with it, as long as she finishes school, and takes it seriously. She also plays piano, and she’s really into clothes and fashion and style.”

Patrick Swayze’s private memorial will be held on Sunday.

The Dirty Dancing actor died on September 14 after losing his battle against pancreatic cancer and his family and friends will pay tribute to him at the service which will be held at Sony Studios in Culver City, California.

His representative said, “In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either of the following two organizations – The Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund or Stand Up to Cancer.”

Last September, Patrick helped Stand Up to Cancer raise money at the organisation’s TV charity event.

The private memorial follows a public event in the town of Lake Lure, North Carolina, where much of 1987 movie Dirty Dancing was filmed.

It took place earlier this month at Firefly Cove — known as Camp Chimney Rock when the movie was shot — and the ceremony was free to attend, although organizers asked attendees to donate money to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Patrick was cremated on September 17 and his ashes are currently being held at his lawyer’s office, according to his death certificate.

It is understood the remains will stay at the office until Patrick’s wife Lisa Niemi arranges for them to be moved.

Jessica Alba is to star in the sequel to Meet the Fockers.

Producers want the Love Guru star to play a sexy pharmaceutical rep whose looks send the movie’s male characters crazy.

Tori Spelling was hospitalized Monday after being struck down by an unknown stomach ailment.

“Tori went to the hospital last night for abdominal pain,” her rep told Us Weekly magazine Tuesday. “They released her last night.”

But Spelling, 36, was readmitted earlier today.

“She wasn’t feeling better today so she returned to the hospital for more tests,” the rep continues.

Tori’s husband, Dean McDermott, wrote on Twitter Monday night, “T is in the hospital now with severe stomach pains. We’re trying to get her comfortable.”

Later that evening, he wrote, “Just out of the hospital. After a battery of tests, no conclusive answers. She still feels terrible. Hope it passes soon. She’s in a lot of pain.”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had a sneaky romp in a shop changing room, it has been claimed.

The couple — who are currently in Vancouver, Canada, shooting the third Twilight movie, Eclipse — were apparently feeling “hot blooded” during an early September shopping spree at Black Market Village in Toronto.

“From the sounds that were coming out of the changing room, they were doing more than trying on shirts!” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“When they emerged minutes later they were mussed up and breathing heavily!”

Meanwhile, Rob and Kristen have apparently made no secret of their relationship while out and about in Vancouver.

“The whole cast comes in a lot together. For some reason, this is one of the places the paparazzi doesn’t constantly find them,” a hostess at an undisclosed restaurant recently told E! News‘ Awful Truth column.

John Travolta has returned to the Bahamas for a trial related to an alleged extortion attempt, Entertainment Tonight reports.

The actor gave an emotional testimony last Wednesday about the day his 16-year-old son, Jett Travolta, died at their holiday home on the island.

Paramedic Tarino Lightbourn and his attorney, former Bahamian Sen. Pleasant Bridgewater, are accused of conspiring to extort $25 million from Travolta for a document relating to Jett’s treatment. The pair have pleaded not guilty and are out on bond.

The Grease star last week testified that his son had a history of seizures and –- for the first time — publicly admitted that Jett suffered from autism.

“My son was autistic and he suffered from seizure disorder every 5 to 10 days,” Travolta told the court. “He would suffer a seizure that would last 45 seconds to a minute and sleep for 12 hours.”

On the morning of his son’s death, Travolta said he was awakened by nanny Eli Wheaton. “He was pounding on the door upstairs where we were sleeping,” said the actor, who then quickly ran downstairs to find people already trying to save his son.

“I took the place of the woman who was doing CPR. She was an employee of Old Bahama Bay who I recognized as such,” he said.

Travolta’s wife, Kelly Preston, was in the courtroom as he testified.

Sources close to Janet Jackson have shot down tabloid reports the singer is set to wear black for a year to mourn the death of her brother, pop superstar Michael Jackson.

Britain’s The Sun claimed earlier this week that Janet decided to dress in dark clothes as a mark of respect.

“Janet, like the rest of the Jackson family, has been left bereft by Michael’s passing,” a source said.

“As a mark of respect she has decided to only wear black clothes to express her grief, and she has had to go on a number of shopping trips to find suitable items to wear.

“She has resolved to mourn Michael’s death for 12 months, and in June next year — on the anniversary of Michael’s passing — her time of reflection will come to an end.”

But a friend of Janet’s insists the story is “a big old yarn”.

It has also been noted that the star was in white and beige at a Ralph Lauren event during Fashion Week in New York City earlier this month. And on Monday, Janet wore a blue dress to amfAR’s Inaugural Milan Fashion Week event.

Michael died on June 25 of acute Propofol intoxication. He was 50.
