Amy Winehouse Banned Dad From Appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Amy & Mitch WinehouseAMY Winehouse’s father Mitch has revealed how his superstar daughter banned him from appearing on UK reality TV show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Mitch says he was approached by the show’s producers, but Amy vetoed the idea straight away.

“When I told Amy I had the interview, she went mad — she says, ‘You’re not doing it dad,’ she wouldn’t let me do it,” he said on Mitch Winehouse’s Showbiz Rant.

Mitch also hinted that the reason why the Rehab singer was taken to hospital recently was because she had a problem with her new surgically enhanced breasts.

“Well I can’t say why she went into hospital, but it wasn’t because she had a cold. She’s fine, she just had a little leaky something or other,” he said, pointing to his chest.

Mitch recently insisted Amy has made a “miraculous” recovery in her fight against drug addiction.

“I think she looks great, very bit of her — including the boobs,” he said. “She’s doing fantastic and I don’t think enough credit is given to her about what she’s achieved over the last year. It’s been nothing short of miraculous.”

Kelly Osbourne Says Winehouse Still Struggles to Live a Clean Life

Kelly OsbourneKELLY Osbourne says her pal Amy Winehouse still struggles to live a clean life.

Kelly — the daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne — is in regular contact with the junkie Rehab singer, and admits Amy still craves drugs.

“Everybody has their own journey and path in life and you can’t choose theirs for them, but you can give guidance,” Kelly, 25, told British newspaper The Sun. “I’m not a preacher but if I can share my experience with someone, I will.

“But people won’t get sober or clean unless they want to.”

Kelly also revealed her fears that she’ll go back to drink and drugs when her stint on US TV show Dancing with the Stars comes to an end.

“When I’m busy and not left with me in my own head I’m fine,” she said.

“I worry about when the show stops — slipping back into negativity, drink and drugs. I’m taking precautions so I won’t get in that position. My life when I drink is so dark and miserable.”

Amy Winehouse’s Dad: ‘She’s Doing Fantastic’

Amy & Mitch WinehouseAMY Winehouse’s father says the singer is back on track — insisting she’s made a “miraculous” recovery in her fight against drug addiction.

Mitch Winehouse has told the latest issue of Britain’s Heat magazine that his superstar daughter is doing “fantastic”.

“I think she looks great, very bit of her — including the boobs,” he said. “She’s doing fantastic and I don’t think enough credit is given to her about what she’s achieved over the last year. It’s been nothing short of miraculous.”

Mitch, 58, recently revealed how Amy has become obsessed with exercise.

“Everything at the moment is under control,” he said. “Sometimes — and I’m not talking about Amy — but sometimes other addictions come after another addiction.

“One of Amy’s positive addictions is she’s got her own gym. She’s in the gym three or four hours a day. I mean boy is she fit – really, really fit. So that’s a really positive addiction.

“But addictions can come in groups. It can be buying stuff, buying stuff that’s not necessary. She’s been through that as well. The whole process is one of recovery.”

Amy Winehouse Hospitalized After ‘Adverse Reaction to Medication’

Amy WinehouseAMY Winehouse must love the taste of hospital food!

The Rehab singer — who recently spent $70,000 on a boob job — reportedly spent Sunday at The London Clinic on doctor’s advice after medicine she took for a cold clashed with medication she was already on.

“Amy took over-the-counter stuff for a cold but it didn’t agree with medication she takes for her on-going recovery,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.

“She felt rubbish when she woke on Sunday morning.

“A doctor came to the house and advised her to go the hospital to make sure she was all right.
She was due to stay the night.”

Amy has been in the hospital quite a few times over the past 12-months — see the below headlines for proof:

Amy & Mitch WinehouseAMY Winehouse’s doting dad Mitch is worried his troubled daughter might rekindle her romance with her junkie ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

The Winehouse patriarch said that a reunion between Amy and Blake would take place “over my dead body” and branded his former son-in-law a “vampire”.

“They’re after everything. Money, fame – they’re vampires,” Mitch said, amid reports Amy and Blake had swapped love notes on Facebook.

Taxi driver Mitch Winehouse says the retro swing record will include covers of Rat Pack legend Frank Sinatra and new material.

“It’s a Sinatra-ish album. There will be six covers of Sinatra,” Mitch said, adding that Amy, 26, inherited her talents from his family. “We were always singing in the house.”

Mitch has also launched his own series, Showbiz Rant, in which he chats to celebs in his taxi for online TV channel Liv.

Amy Winehouse Likes Her Food!

Amy WinehouseAMY Winehouse has no problems when it comes to food!

The singer’s dad, Mitch Winehouse, says the Rehab hitmaker eats more than anyone he knows.

“I went to lunch with her yesterday and I’ve never seen one person eat as much as she did,” Mitch said.

“It was this new fish restaurant she goes to on Marylebone High Street, it’s all healthy stuff — but boy can she put it away.

“And they say she’s anorexic? You can see with your own eyes that she’s put on a lot of weight and how well she’s doing.”

Mitch recently revealed that Amy, 25, has become obsessed with hitting the gym.

“One of Amy’s positive addictions is she’s got her own gym. She’s in the gym three or four hours a day. I mean boy is she fit – really, really fit. So that’s a really positive addiction,” he said.

Amy Winehouse – Exercise Addict!

Amy WinehouseTROUBLED singer Amy Winehouse has a new addiction — exercise!

The Back to Black hitmaker — who has spent the past year drug-free following her public battle with addictions to heroin and crack cocaine — spends hours working out every day but her family think this is a positive step.

“Everything at the moment is under control,” said Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse.

Amy spent several months earlier this year living on the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia to escape her demons and work on her new material.

Although she has always been supported by her close-knit family, Mitch said most of Amy’s recovery is down to her own determination.

“We’ve got a wonderful family,” Mitch added. “It’s been difficult, but what you’ve got to realize is Amy’s the one who decided to change. Whatever I said at the time would go in one ear and out the other. It was her decision to give up drugs. She was the one who started the process.

“She was the one who carried it all the way through and we encourage her and help her in any way that we can. But you know, not enough recognition is given to her. As a family we just did what we were doing – being a family.

“She lost her way a little bit, she did. I think that’s a fair way of putting it but now she’s found her way back again, and that’s great.”

Meanwhile, the former taxi-driver has revealed Amy had her recent breast enlargement operation because her boobs were “saggy”.

“I don’t think the boob job was about confidence. I think that when she lost all that weight, the weight never came back on her boobs and they were saggy. So whatever the reason is, she looks great now,” he said.

Amy Winehouse’s Dad Lashes Out at Rehab Clinics

Amy WinehouseAMY Winehouse’s father has slammed British rehab clinics.

Mitch Winehouse, whose 26-year-old daughter has battled alcohol and drug addictions, hit out at the service given to addicts in the UK, claiming most people only get help if they have enough money.

He insists the current treatment plans mean many substance abusers commit crimes in the hope of being sent to clinics by sympathetic judges.

“People are definitely committing offences so they can have a chance, and it’s only a chance, of receiving treatment,” he said.

“The problem we found in our research in London is that it’s a year before any treatment can be given.

“It’s very difficult and the reason for this is the majority of funding is taken up by the criminal justice system.”

Mitch — who was speaking in front of the British Home Affairs Select Committee, which is looking at the cocaine trade, yesterday — added more money should be spent on rehabilitation programs for addicts who have not offended.

He also hit out at the 27-month sentence Amy’s ex-husband Blake Fielder Civil received for grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice last year.

Blake was freed from prison early and sent to a residential rehab.

“Criminals are offered residential treatment as an alternative to a spell in prison,” Mitch said.

“But law-abiding people are losing out and finding it impossible to find help. There is very little help available to families, especially if their relative is a non-offending addict.”

Mitch, who has made a documentary about drug abuse, also suggested heroin addicts should be prescribed the drug to stop them committing crimes.

Amy Winehouse Lands Lean, Mean Boyfriend!

Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse’s mystery man has finally been revealed!

The Back to Black hitmaker — who recently divorced husband Blake Fielder-Civil — has been on a string of dates with one of boxing champ George Foreman’s sons.

Formeman has five sons — all named George — but it is George III, 26, who Amy likes.

Amy — who is currently staying at The London Clinic in Mayfair as she recovers from her boob job — has been in daily contact with George on Facebook.

“His name is George Foreman and he boxes, just like his dad,” said one patient. “Amy loves that he’s toned and very fit.”

Amy’s spokesman confirmed she and George III are chatting online but claims they haven’t met.
