ANNA Paquin says she and fiance Stephen Moyer got on “straight away” when they first met on the set of their hit TV show True Blood.

Anna has revealed how she and costar Stephen had an instant connection.

“We got on straight away,” she says. “It doesn’t hurt when the relationship on screen that you’re trying to create is one of attraction and fascination.”

The fact they spend so much time together has strengthened their relationship too.

“I’m lucky I guess,” says Anna. “I have a very, very ridiculously perfect set-up because usually the thing about acting and relationships is someone is on the other side of the planet.

“So it’s actually an incredible luxury to get to spend your work time and your personal time with the person you want to be with all the time.”

Anna, 27, recently revealed that she can understand the current obsession with vampires.

“Girls like them because they’re sexy and dangerous and always really hot,” she says. “They’ve been around a long time — they probably know what they’re doing when it comes to that sort of thing.”

Anna — who plays Sookie Stackhouse in the hit TV show True Blood — says girls love a man who knows what he is doing — and vampires fill that role perfectly.

Paquin, 27, recently revealed that she loved going blonde for her role in True Blood.

“Boys like to stare at blonde girls – that’s totally true,” she said. “So it’s amusing and quite lovely. Boys like blonde girls, who knew? Maybe that’s why I’m not changing it back between seasons.

“I’m really enjoying it. The hair was a huge part of becoming this character – the whole blonde thing and the tan thing. When they first cast me I was a pasty brunette from New Zealand, and now I’m a Southern blonde.”

“My wardrobe is awesome. I’m practically naked the entire time — what’s not to love?”

Paquin — who announced her engagement to her costar Stephen Moyer in August this year — has previously revealed that she takes her bra off for sex.

“It’s like, I’m sorry, maybe there are a lot of women who keep their bras on while they have sex . . . I don’t happen to be one of them,” she said.

“I don’t think the naked body is particularly shocking or interesting.

“People are incredibly literal sometimes in how they view you. You have dark hair and pale skin? You must be brooding. The second you dye your hair blond and get a spray tan, people treat you as if you’re a bit stupider and happier.”

It seems Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer didn’t hide their romance as well as they thought!

The pair — who claimed they played down their relationship on the True Blood set, even fooling their costars — apparently couldn’t keep their chemistry hidden from the show’s creator, Alan Ball.

“I know that they think that 
nobody knew about it until the end of the season,” Ball told People magazine, “but I knew about it by episode two.”

Ball says he sensed a connection between the stars after filming the scene where their characters first meet.

“Stephen comes into the bar, and takes [Anna's] hand, [and] I 
thought, ‘Wow, they have chemistry!’ But sometimes actors have
 chemistry when they’re acting together, but they cannot stand each 
other while off set.

“When I found out that they were dating, my reaction was, ‘Uh-oh! I hope that this doesn’t blow up in our face.’

“But this has been happening long enough that it’s very clear that it
 is the real thing.

“They’re very, very happy, and I’m just
 thrilled for them.”

Paquin and Moyer recently announced their engagement.

Anna Paquin is having children whether she likes it or not — her fiance Stephen Moyer is desperate to have “vampire babies” with the actress.

The True Blood costars — who announced their engagement in August this year — can’t wait to start a family.

“What’s in store in the future for Anna and I? Well, we’re going to have little vampire babies,” Moyer told the UK’s Evening Standard newspaper.

“From the moment I met Anna we got on really well. There was an immediate sense of play, we starting working well together. She’s a superb actress. After the pilot I went back to London, she went to New York but we missed each other.

“It seems really organic and natural, it feels like the most normal thing in the world.”

Anna, 27, recently denied reports she’s already pregnant.

“My uterus is really flattered that everyone cares,” she said. “But sorry, no occupants.”

Moyer, 39, from Essex, England, already has two young children from a previous relationship.

Anna Paquin insists she won’t become a “Bridezilla”.

Anna Paquin’s dog will be the ring bearer at her wedding.

The 27-year-old actress is planning to marry her True Blood costar Stephen Moyer next year — and the couple hope their pet pooch will play a major part in the ceremony.

Speaking at the Good Dog Rescue Foundation gala in Los Angeles earlier this week, Stephen said, “Splash, my alpha, will be the ring bearer, although my son may not be too happy about that.”

But the canine’s participation is the only detail Anna and Stephen have decided on so far.

“We haven’t planned anything. People always say that we are engaged to be married and I always say that I thought we were just engaged!” he said.

The 39-year-old actor also revealed the details of Anna’s engagement ring, which was designed by a close friend.

“It’s made of silver, and it has this amazing rustic diamond, it’s not a rough diamond, but a diamond that isn’t sort of clear and we decided to make it into a ring,” he said.

Stephen has two children — Billy, nine, and seven-year-old Lilac, from previous relationships.

The True Blood star says she’s keen to be a “California babe”.

“I love being on the West Coast for the show, I like being near the ocean and I want to learn to surf,” she said.

“I’m fully transforming into the California babe, but I still don’t drive. I ride my bike. It’s becoming less socially acceptable for me not to have a driver’s license.

“The drop-end cut-off is 30. If I’m not driving by then I have to start lying about it.”

Anna — who is engaged to her True Blood costar Stephen Moyer — also opened up about her relationship.

“What makes relationships so difficult with my job is all the travelling and being away from your significant other,” she said.

“My job’s always been my life, but the older you get, the less you want it to be your whole life.”
