VICTORIA Beckham is no longer the queen of footballer’s wives!

The former Spice Girl — who’s married to LA Galaxy soccer star David Beckham — has been toppled by Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole (married to Chelsea star Ashley Cole) in the fight to be Britain’s top-earning Wag.

Cole, 26, has earned a reported £6.9million through TV and sponsorship deals and her fledgling solo career.

Victoria, 35, has taken home £6.7million over the past two years.

“It’s the end of Posh Spice’s reign,” a source told British newspaper the News of The World. “Queen Victoria is on her way out. And there’s a new princess ready to take her crown.

“There’s much more in the pipeline. Cheryl has the potential to be massive and leave other Wags — including Posh — behind.

“Cheryl will be the ultimate Wag money-making machine.

“While Victoria’s slipping down in many people’s eyes, Cheryl’s star is on the up.”

Simon Cowell and his chubby business partner Phillip Green are set to make Cheryl Cole a global star — they’ve asked her to be the face of their new multi-billion-dollar entertainment company, according to a new report.

The music mogul and the fashion billionaire are both keen to work with the Girls Aloud star and X Factor judge.

“Simon and Philip would both love to work with Cheryl — they are both fans,” a source told the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper.

“They haven’t had official talks yet but they have several ideas that they plan to discuss formally with Cheryl during the next few weeks. Simon plans to make Cheryl a star in the States.

“He has been very impressed with her popularity and her natural ability to identify with people.

Cheryl Cole is “obsessed” with looking her best — and is reportedly addicted to some beauty regimes which include facial ice baths and olive-oil rub-downs.

The Girls Aloud star is determined to look better than her fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue.

“She’s obsessed with looking her best and there’s definitely competitiveness between her and Dannii,” a source told Britain’s Closer magazine. “The moment the cameras are off, she checks herself in the mirror.

“Cheryl wants to avoid going down the Botox route so she swears by certain things to stay youthful.

“She has a bowl of ice cold water in her X Factor dressing room to splash her face with . She’s convinced it boosts circulation. And every two weeks or so she covers herself in olive oil because she thinks it’s the best moisturizer.”

“I wouldn’t deny it if I had plastic surgery. I wouldn’t just come out with bog boobs and say, ‘No, I haven’t had an operation!’ I think imperfections are sexy anyway, I honestly do.

“If everyone looked perfect with a perfect face and perfect boobs, it wouldn’t be sexy as it’s not real life.”

The Girls Aloud beauty — who hails from Newcastle, in the north east of England — is keen to put some of her fortune into struggling Newcastle United Football Club and would consider becoming part of a consortium to save the team.

Radio host Craig Beck asked Cheryl, who is married to Chelsea soccer star Ashley Cole, “You must have got a bit of cash. You don’t fancy buying Newcastle and putting Ashley at left back?”

The sexy singer – who has a fortune of over £10 million, while Ashley earns £3.5 million-a-year – replied, “If I had that kind of cash, I would.”

The club’s current owner Mike Ashley put Newcastle United up for sale in May for £100 million but he is yet to receive an offer which meets his demands.

Fans think Cheryl would make a great owner, with one supporter saying, “I don’t think she’d be any worse than the bunch we’ve got now.”

Earlier this year, Newcastle were relegated from the Barclays Premiership — England’s top soccer league — and there are fears they could go into freefall if the right owner is not brought in.

Cheryl Cole is set to take a giant leap into the fashion industry — she’s reportedly set to launch her own clothing line.

“With her new hair and edgier clothes choices, Cheryl has told work colleagues that she wants to capitalize on her ‘best dressed’ status and is exploring the possibilities of launching her own fashion label next year,” a source told UK newspaper The London Evening Standard.

“Cheryl wants to pounce while she’s on top,” the source added. “She spent a great deal of time in LA and thinks her style can translate wonderfully across continents. But everything is in the early stages.

Cheryl Cole isn’t interested in launching a solo singing career — she wants to become an actress!

The Girls Aloud star and X Factor judge is apparently keen to break Hollywood.

“Her real ambition lies in becoming an actress,” a source told Britain’s Now magazine. “That’s what a lot of her discussions in LA recently have been about. She’s told her agent that’s the direction she wants to head in over the next few years.

“This will suit her husband Ashley because he’s been financing films and fancies himself as knowledgeable in the movie game.

“Cheryl’s determined to crack the States and the easiest way is to try 
TV first -– a bit like Victoria Beckham has done with American Idol — then movies.

“Although she’s worked with some of the biggest producers in pop, Cheryl feels lost without the rest of Girls Aloud. She isn’t considered the strongest singer in the band and she’s in a blind panic about performing on The X Factor to coincide with the launch of her solo album.

“She’s yet to agree to it because she’s so nervous, but we’re not sure how much choice she’ll have.

“She’s been told to look after her vocal chords as much as possible from now on, but she’s still smoking, which isn’t helping her voice, even though it eases her stress.”
