Daniel Radcliffe Pot Claims Denied

Daniel RadcliffeDANIEL Radcliffe has angrily denied a British tabloid’s report he smoked pot at a pal’s housewarming party.

The Daily Mirror claimed Friday that the Harry Potter star, 20, was seen laughing his head off at the bash in Camden, North London, and was overheard declaring “I love weed” to shocked partygoers.

“He looked spaced out and didn’t look like he knew what was going on,” a source said.

But Dan the man has spoken out to set the record straight.

He admits he was smoking — but insists it was just tobacco.

“We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today’s Daily Mirror,” the rep said. “Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this. We are considering our position and will be taking all necessary action in relation to such allegations.”

Daniel Radcliffe Caught Smoking Pot at Party

Daniel RadcliffeHARRY POTHEAD, INDEED!

DANIEL Radcliffe has been caught smoking pot at a party.

The clean-cut Harry Potter star, 20, was snapped laughing his head off at a friend’s house-warming bash in Camden, North London, and was overheard declaring “I love weed” to shocked partygoers.

“He looked spaced out and didn’t look like he knew what was going on,” fellow guest Wadia Tazi, 26, told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.

Daniel then let another guest scrawl all over his face with a pen.

“Daniel was laughing and seemed to find it funny. But he didn’t really look like he knew what was going on,” Tazi added.

“I was surprised by his behavior.”

Tazi says Radcliffe was keen not to be recognized.

“Daniel looked spaced out and away with the fairies,” he said. “He didn’t want us to recognize him. When I said he looked like that actor in Lord of the Rings [Elijah Wood], he got a bit funny and said, ‘No, that’s not me’. He looked pretty uncomfortable.

“I didn’t recognize him as he looked so different to what I expected from the films. When my friend told me who he was, I was shocked.

“He was really friendly and talking about his dad a bit.

“Then he pulled out a huge joint and lit up. Daniel said he loved it. He seemed happy that neither of us knew who he was.

“At one point a girl dragged him away, saying, ‘Come on Daniel, follow me. You don’t trust me, do you?’

“She pulled him into the toilet and started drawing a huge comedy beard on his face.”

The party was reportedly thrown by a friend of Daniel’s on-off actress girlfriend Laura O’Toole.

Wadia said Laura confronted him over footage they believed he had shot on his phone. They found none.

“Laura was very protective,” Wadia said. “She said Daniel had a reputation to protect and couldn’t ruin it. I presume she meant by being seen smoking. I said I didn’t know what she was talking about.

“But almost immediately afterwards she and Daniel left.”

ROBERT PATTINSON Wants to Reach Out to Daniel Radcliffe

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson wants Daniel Radcliffe’s telephone number.

The Twilight actor — who starred opposite Daniel in the 2005 flick Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – says he’d like to reach out to the 20-year-old millionaire for tips on dealing with fame.

Asked if he has spoken to Radcliffe since starring in the movie with him, Pattinson said, “I haven’t. I don’t actually have his phone number…

“I’d quite like to talk to him about it [fame]. He has a very good method for coping with it all — well, from what I can see anyway. It seems like he stays completely grounded all the time.”

R-Patz — who’s rumored to be dating his costar Kristen Stewart recently admitted that he’s a possessive boyfriend.

“I get quite obsessive about things, and possessive as well,” he revealed. “I have very, very specific ideas about how I want to do my work and how I want to be perceived, to the point of ridiculousness sometimes.

“I don’t listen to anyone else.

“That’s why I don’t have a publicist — I can’t stand it if someone’s trying to tell me to do something which might be a mistake.”

Daniel Radcliffe: ‘I Hate Celebrity Culture’

Daniel RadcliffeDaniel Radcliffe says he hates the celebrity culture and insists he’s “too mature” to make a fool of himself at showbiz parties.

The Harry Potter star, 20, admits he used to play pranks and fool around but now he’s all grown up, he behaves like an adult.

“I did use to play a lot of pranks in the past, but I want to be a more mature, serious actor now,” he said.

“I don’t get involved with drinking or partying with the cast any more.

“I hate celebrity culture but I’m unavoidably part of it. There are people who happen to be celebrities as a by-product of what they do.

“They don’t want to work, have no interests, no passions, nothing and yet they seem to be held up on pedestals.

“I don’t think they should be trying to push themselves on to us. It does annoy me but, of course, I’m part of it.”

The the young actor is looking to change people’s pre-conceptions of him by getting involved in a serious movie project.

“Daniel’s been looking at lots of scripts trying to decide what he’d like to direct,” dished a Hollywood mole. “But he’s now focusing on a story about a London gangster. Daniel wants to challenge people’s pre-conceptions of him.”

Radcliffe recently denied rumors he was in the running for a role as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit.

“I’d have to say: ‘Thanks, but no thanks.’ Not that anyone has asked me,” said the 20-year-old. “I don’t think they would want me anyway, it’s just too close. Whatever I do next, I don’t think there will be any wizards in it.”

Daniel Radcliffe Not Interested in Hobbit Role

“I’d have to say: ‘Thanks, but no thanks.’ Not that anyone has asked me,” said the 20-year-old. “I don’t think they would want me anyway, it’s just too close. Whatever I do next, I don’t think there will be any wizards in it.”

Daniel did say who he’d like to see take on the role: “James McAvoy is fantastic.

“I think he should play it. I’ve done the fantasy-film thing. Actually, so has he, with the Chronicles of Narnia. But I’ve done it for longer. He can take over. I’m done. I don’t think anybody involved in that would want me to, either.”

Radcliffe is currently fliming the seventh and eighth films in the Harry Potter series, with the final film being released in 2011.

Daniel Radcliffe Supports Gay & Lesbian Charity

Daniel RadcliffeDaniel Radcliffe is one generous guy!

The actor has made a large donation to the Trevor Project, a US charity which helps suicidal young gay men and women.

“I am very pleased to begin my support of The Trevor Project, which saves lives every day through its critical work,” said the star, who recently told Attitude magazine he “loathed” homophobia.

The Trevor Project runs a 24-hour helpline offering support to “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning” (LGBTQ) young people to try to reduce the number who attempt to take their own lives.

“It’s extremely distressing to consider that in 2009 suicide is a top three killer of young people, and it’s truly devastating to learn that LGBTQ youth are up to four times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers,” Radcliffe added.

“I deeply hope my support can raise the organisation’s visibility so even more despondent youth become aware of The Trevor Helpline’s highly trained counsellors and Trevor’s many other resources.

“It’s vitally important that young people understand they are not alone and, perhaps even more important, that their young lives have real value.”

The Trevor Project was set up by the creators of the 1994 Oscar-winning short film Trevor, a comedy-drama about a gay 13-year-old who tries to kill himself when his friends reject him because of his sexuality. As well as the helpline, the charity also runs an online question-and-answer forum for young people with questions about sexual orientation and gender identity and an educational kit for schools and youth groups.

Charles Robbins, the Trevor Project’s chief executive, said the charity was extremely grateful for the actor’s donation.

Daniel Radcliffe: ‘I’m Posh’

Daniel RadcliffeDaniel Radcliffe admits he’s “posh and middle-class” — and he finds it funny when people mistake him for Prince Harry.

The young actor says he is not only treated like royalty when promoting the Harry Potter movies outside of the UK but some actually think he is princely because of a mix-up between his character, Harry Potter, and the British royal.

“I’ve never hung out with Prince Harry,” says Daniel. “I’ve not met him and I don’t know any of his friends. This is the distinction other countries need to make about England.

“There are levels of posh. I am posh and middle-class, absolutely, but he’s on another echelon of posh. I’m certainly not in his circle and I would probably not come across anyone in his circle.”

Radcliffe, 20, recently insisted he won’t let fame go to his head.

“You hear horror stories about actors having hissy fits, but you don’t need to do that,” he said. “I want to be a different type of actor.

“I want to help, do stuff. Jackie Chan helps move sets; I have started trying to do that, to pitch in.”

Daniel Radcliffe Won’t Turn Diva

Daniel RadcliffeDaniel Radcliffe is one of Hollywood’s brightest young stars — but he’s not letting it go to his head!

The Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince star, 20, insists he is still down to earth — and always helps out on movie sets.

“You hear horror stories about actors having hissy fits, but you don’t need to do that,” Daniel said. “I want to be a different type of actor.

“I want to help, do stuff. Jackie Chan helps move sets; I have started trying to do that, to pitch in.”

Daniel recently revealed that he’s seen his parents naked.

“I grew up always walking around naked, well not always, but it was never an issue in my house,” he said. “I’ve seen my mum naked, seen my dad naked.

“I don’t actively seek to find them naked, but it’s never been a particularly big deal.”

Daniel Radcliffe Has Seen His Parents Naked!

Daniel RadcliffeDaniel Radcliffe was quite the exhibitionist during his teenage years — he grew up “walking around naked” in his house.

The 20-year-old actor — who stripped off for his stage role in the play Equus – said that nudity was never an “issue” in his household.

“I grew up always walking around naked, well not always, but it was never an issue in my house,” he said. “I’ve seen my mum naked, seen my dad naked.

“I don’t actively seek to find them naked, but it’s never been a particularly big deal.”

Daniel went on to blast claims that it’s easier for men to be naked on stage than women.

“There’s this whole myth that it’s easier for me to get naked on stage than it is for women, which is absolute c**p in my opinion,” he said. “If there’s a naked woman on stage, that’s fine, the guys are happy to see a pair of t*ts.

“As a man you feel like you’re being more assessed which is frankly not the way I’d choose to have my assessment done; in front of 2,000 people every night.”
