ROBERT Pattinson and Kristen Stewart managed to catch some alone time in New York Thursday night.

The pair joined the cast of New Moon for the Big Apple screening of the Twilight sequel, but managed to slip away when it came to the afterparty.

Pattinson and Stewart reportedly hit up Avenue, where they dined at a table upstairs with a bodyguard making sure people gave them their privacy.

Rob — who tried his best not to recognized — wore a baseball cap, while Kristen was smoking a cigarette.

According to E! News, the pair were “sitting right next to each other and kept whispering in each other’s ears and laughing together. At one point, Kristen started stroking Rob’s back. And the two were still going strong at the club till 3 a.m.”

Earlier this week, we reported how the pair had a secret dinner with Rob’s parents when they were in Paris, France.

Robert’s aunt Diane Nutley said his parents Richard and Clare “got on like a house on fire” with Kristen.

“They had kept it secret because they didn’t know if they were together or not then,” she said.

Diane also said Robert’s parents will meet with Kristen in LA this week.

KRISTEN Stewart says she misses going outside.

The actress says that since finding fame in Twilight, she can’t set foot outside her house without being harassed by the paparazzi.

“I like being outside,” she said. “I like to take walks and I could totally take walks — it’s not the fans, the fans are great, they would let me walk. It’s the other people, you know what I mean. It’s the other people.”

Kristen, 19, recently revealed that she can relate to her character Bella in Twilight sequel New Moon – because she knows what it’s like to be broken up with.

“It’s when Edward tells Bella it’s all over and they’re never going to see each other again,” she told Parade magazine of her toughest scene in the movie, which hits theaters November 20. “There’s nothing like it in reality. It’s not even like a normal breakup scene because I know what it’s like to get broken up with. I don’t know what it’s like to get broken up with by a vampire.

“It’s like suddenly whatever has addicted an addict is taken away from them and they go through total withdrawal. That’s what Bella was going through. To portray that was really intimidating.”

Bella, Kristen said, is “confident but not arrogant. Bella is like, ‘I’m allowed to make mistakes and I’m going to do things and take chances and not be ashamed of it.’ You see this girl really build herself back up, and by the time she makes this sort of rash decision to spend eternity with a vampire, you believe her. She’s lived life. She’s grown up.”

DAKOTA Fanning has revealed how she locks lips with Kristen Stewart in their upcoming movie The Runaways.

Fanning says she and Stewart share a steamy kiss in the Joan Jett biopic that they filmed over the summer.

“Yes, it happens in The Runaways,” Fanning told Access Hollywood of the onscreen smooch.

“It was passionate. We’re playing Joan Jett and Cherie Curie and they’re best friends in the film and became really close in real life. And that’s something that went down back in the ‘70s.

“We were so into the scene and into the script and the characters.”

Fanning also stars opposite Stewart in the Twilight sequel New Moon, which hits theaters Friday.

The 15-year-old recently revealed she agreed to take on the role of Jane because, “I read all four Twilight books in one week,” she told Teen Vogue. “It’s such a phenomenon, and I wanted to be able to say that I was a part of it.”

Asked how she prepared for the role, Fanning said, “I wasn’t in my mirror like Zoolander, doing the Blue Steel!

“The red contacts were enough.”

ROBERT Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have further fueled rumors they’re a couple — after the hunky actor took his Twilight costar for a secret dinner with his parents.

Rob, 23, reportedly invited his family over to Paris to meet the 19-year-old American star of the hit vampire movies.

They want to put this idea of unconditional devotion just so high above everything else, which is why they can’t get enough of this story.”

KRISTEN Stewart still isn’t used to dressing for red carpet events.

“I can’t pretend I don’t think about it,” the star, who wore Oscar de la Renta to the Los Angeles premiere of New Moon, told US TV show Extra about picking out the perfect dress.

“It’s always last minute!”

The actress — who plays Bella in the smash hit vampire movie franchise — says she loves working with R-Patz.

“He’s a heart-throb,” Stewart, 19, told Britain’s Heat magazine when asked what it’s like to work with Pattinson.

“He sort of comes across like a tortured artist, but he’s not. He’s… oh God, this is tough. I’m over-analytical and I want to say he’s over-analytical. He’s like a little boiling pot just really constantly thinking.

“I think the chemistry between Rob and I is sort of an instant thing. Not that I can identify it… But he’s such a good actor, a really intense guy.”

ROBERT Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were originally told NOT to date — by Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke!

In a new interview with Time magazine, Hardwicke says she warned the hunky British actor against dating Stewart because she was only 18 at the time.

“After I cast him, I told Rob, don’t even think about having a romance with her . . . She’s under 18. You will be arrested.”

Hardwicke couldn’t confirm whether the pair — Rob, 23, and Kristen, 19 — hooked up while making Twilight, but had close conversations with Stewart about the situation.

“In terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn’t happen on the first movie. Nothing crossed the line while on the first film,” she explains.

“I think it took a long time for Kristen to realize, O.K., I’ve got to give this a go and really try to be with this person.”

It was recently claimed that Pattinson hated working with Hardwicke, who was dumped for the sequel New Moon.

“Catherine and Rob didn’t exactly get along that well,” a source told FOX News. “Rob is more a method actor and likes to take time and get into his character while Catherine likes to get things moving. It caused a lot of tension between them.”
