Minne Driver: ‘Babies Grow So Fast!’

Minnie DriverMINNIE Driver is reveling in motherhood!

The Good Will Hunting star — who welcomed a son, Henry Story Drive, in September last year — is enjoying being a mom so much she never wants it to end — but it’s already going by too fast.

“Just seeing your children grow older, and chronicling them, is amazing It goes so fast,” she said. “Even for me already this year, it’s gone in the blink of an eye. So, I can only imagine how quickly the rest of it is going to go! I love him being so tiny.”

Driver, 39, recently revealed that motherhood has taken up the majority of her time — much to her surprise!

“I thought I would have more time to work on my music when I was a mom,” she said. “But there’s no time. When you’re breastfeeding, you’re just the milk machine! You’re just doing that.

“So there’s no time to pick up the guitar, and write and think. Or go for a walk, and have a beer. Good luck! It’s just laundry, and figuring stuff out. But it’s great.”

Minnie Driver — Hands-on Mom!

Minnie DriverMINNIE Driver insists she’s a hands-on mom — she only employs a nanny when she has to work.

The British actress — who welcomed a son, Henry Story Drive, in September last year — says she prefers to do her own laundry and grocery shopping instead of using hired help.

“I do have a nanny when I have to work,” says Minnie. “And Henry’s dad works. So when we’re away, I have an amazing nanny. But my life is my life. I go to the grocery story, and I do my own laundry. You know, I take care of my son.”

Minnie Driver: ‘Women Don’t Need Men to Have Children’

Minnie Driver believes women do not need men to raise a child.

The ‘Good Will Hunting’ star — who is currently eight months pregnant with her first child; and has so far refused to reveal the identity of her baby’s father — is looking forward to raising her son or daughter alone and claims it is empowering to be able to speak out about her independent plans.

She says, “It’s great to be an independent creature. Today you don’t need a man anymore. In the old days, have a baby without marriage and people would put you out. Today you speak about it on talk shows. I’m very into feeling this female thing.”

Minnie, 38, also insists it is up to the father of her child to speak out if he wants to.

Minnie — who does not plan to have him present at the birth — said, “I’m not married and I don’t know if I’ll stay with the guy. If he wants to come out and talk about it, he’s more than welcome to.

“But since he doesn’t live in the public eye, it’s something I want to keep private.”
