Kidman Destroyed Diaries When She Remarried

Nicole KidmanNICOLE Kidman has revealed how she burned “most” of her diaries when she married Keith Urban.

The Aussie actress — who is divorced from Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise and has a daughter, Sunday Rose, with musician Urban — says she prefers to keep an air of mystery about her life.

“If you know what is going on inside somebody’s head all the time that’s not a good place,” Kidman tells the December issue of British GQ.

“You can’t read somebody’s diary. You shouldn’t read it. I burnt most of my journals after I remarried … You’re only going to find out bad things.”

Kidman, 42, also admitted that her family, friends and advisers tried to persuade her not to marry Cruise in case it ruined her career

“I became famous very young. I became very famous because I was the wife of somebody,” she said. “I did a lot of good, worthwhile work in Australia between the ages of 14 and 19 and then I married someone famous. And really, despite the huge profile that brought to me, I was still finding my feet.

“My agents at the time were like, ‘Do not get married! It will ruin your career!’ And I was like, ‘But I’m in love!’”

Nicole Kidman Was Told Not to Marry Tom Cruise

Nicole KidmanNICOLE Kidman admits her family, friends and advisers tried to persuade her not to marry Tom Cruise — in case it ruined her career

The Aussie actress — who divorced the Top Gun star in 2001 after 11 years of marriage — believes her acting success was boosted by her romance with the actor, despite being told she was making the wrong decision in tying the knot.

“I became famous very young. I became very famous because I was the wife of somebody,” Kidman told British GQ.

Following their divorce, Nicole went on to marry singer Keith Urban, with who she has a 15-month-old daughter, Sunday Rose, while Tom — who has two adopted children with Nicole– has three-year-old Suri with wife Katie Holmes.

Kidman also revealed her life had been about exploring different types of love.

“I’ve explored obsession. I’ve explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place, I’ve explored strange sexual fetish stuff, I’ve explored the mundane aspect of marriage, and monogamy,” she said.

Nicole Kidman: ‘I’m Not a Natural Singer’

Nicole KidmanNICOLE Kidman admits she was “terrified” about singing in new musical movie Nine.

The Aussie actress — who has previously released duets with her Moulin Rouge! costar Ewan McGregor and British singer Robbie Williams – says people need to coax her into performing for a crowd.

“I was terrified of it,” Kidman, 42, told Britain’s Empire magazine. “I am not a natural singer in the sense that I don’t love getting up in front of a group of people and just belting out a tune. It needs to be coaxed out of me because I want my voice to tell a story and sometimes it doesn’t have the capacity to do that.”

“When Nine director Rob Marshall approached me, he told me a role had been written especially. He told me he wanted her to look like a goddess and I was a little overwhelmed by that.”

While Nicole was eventually persuaded to record her vocals, she has previously vowed never to sing with her husband, country music star Keith Urban.

“We have our work, but most important is our life together, we don’t want to blend the two,” she ssaid.

Nicole Kidman Blames Hollywood For Domestic Violence

Nicole KidmanNICOLE Kidman says Hollywood is partly to blame for the outbreak of domestic violence — because the movie industry often portrays women as weak sex objects.

Kidman was testifying before a US congressional committee considering legislation to deal with violence against women overseas, through humanitarian relief efforts and grants to local organizations.

Asked by Republican representative Dana Rohrabacher whether the movie industry had “played a bad role”, Kidman said “probably”.

“I can’t be responsible for all of Hollywood but I can certainly be responsible for my own career,” said the Aussie star, who played a young wife who fights back against a psychotic killer holding her captive on a boat in the 1989 thriller Dead Calm.

The actress appeared before the committee in her role as a goodwill ambassador for the UN Development Fund for Women to promote the International Violence Against Women Act.

“In the real world, the laws go unenforced and impunity is the norm,” she said.

The legislation has stalled in the past but Democratic Representative Bill Delahunt said he and others plan to reintroduce it.

Kidman — who has a daughter, Sunday Rose, with her country music star husband Keith Urban — told Congress the UN women’s fund needed more resources.

Before the hearing began, a crowd of people lined the hall to hear her speak.

Nicole Kidman ‘Mistaken For Tom Cruise’s Ex-Wife’

Nicole KidmanWrinkle-free Nicole Kidman was left red-faced during a recent trip to a Starbucks in New York City — after being told she looked like Tom Cruise’s ex-wife!

The Aussie actress was, of course, married to the Top Gun star from 1990-2001.

But it seems Nicole, who was wearing jeans and T-shirt and had wet hair, is a shadow of her former self — because the young lady behind the counter at the Manhattan branch of the popular coffee shop failed to recognize the star, who is now married to country crooner Keith Urban.

“The woman behind the counter loudly proclaimed, ‘You look just like that lady who used to be married to Tom Cruse. Does anyone ever tell you that?’” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“Nicole ignored the question, placed her order, went bright red, and then quickly ran out the shop before anyone else recognized her.”

Kidman and Cruise — who is now married to Katie Holmes — have two adopted children together.

Kidman, 42, also has a daughter — Sunday Rose – with Urban.

Nicole Kidman’s Husband Denies Pregnancy Rumors

Nicole KidmanNicole Kidman’s country music star husband Keith Urban has shot down rumors the actress is pregnant with the couple’s second child.

Kidman — who welcomed daughter Sunday Rose in July last year — sparked pregnancy speculation after she was snapped with what looked like a less-than flat tummy.

But Urban has spoken out to set the record straight.

“No, not true,” says Keith of the baby gossip. “A little bit of tweaking (of photos) does that. If we were to have another child though we would be very happy but we are more then happy with Sunday. We feel very blessed to have one child.”

It was recently reported that the superstar couple had come to blows over Kidman’s desire to have another child.

“Keith loves being a daddy, that’s for sure,” an insider told Britain’s Now magazine. “But does that mean he’s ready to be a dad again? No, no, no! For now, he just wants to enjoy being a dad to Sunday.

“He says it’s probably something he’ll want to do again. But he loves his family just the way it is for the moment.”

“He says it’s probably something he’ll want to do again. But he loves his family just the way it is for the moment.”

Kidman’s spokeswoman recently denied reports the actress was planning to adopt a child from Vietnam: “It’s a complete fabrication,” the rep insisted. “There’s no truth to it whatsoever.”

Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban Not Adopting Vietnamese Baby

Nicole KidmanNicole Kidman has shot down claims she and her country music star husband Keith Urban are looking to adopt a Vietnamese baby.

The couple had reportedly approached the Vietnamese authorities to begin the process of finding a sibling for daughter Sunday Rose, who turns one next month.

Dang Minh Dao, deputy of the Department of International Adoption at the Ministry of Justice in Hanoi told Australia’s New Idea magazine: “Yes, Nicole Kidman wants a baby from Vietnam.

“We’ve been approached by the American Embassy.”

Dang refused to say whether the couple had discussed having a boy or a girl, saying, “This is very sensitive information. We are keeping it closed.”

But Nicole’s spokeswoman has spoken out to set the record straight.

“I am aware of this rumor out of Australia’s New Idea tabloid,” the rep said. “It is a complete fabrication, there is no truth to it whatsoever.”
