Scarlett Johansson to Hit Broadway

Scarlett JohanssonMOVIE beauty Scarlett Johansson is set to make her Broadway debut as a 17-year-old girl.

The 24-year-old actress will appear alongside Liev Schreiber in an adaptation of Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge which will run in New York’s famous theater district.

Scarlett will play the role of Catherine, Liev’s character Eddie’s niece.

In the play, longshoreman Eddie becomes increasingly obsessed with orphaned Catherine, who he is raising, but she ends up falling for another man sending him on a path of self-destruction.

Scarlett — who is widely considered to be one of Hollywood’s most beautiful actresses — recently revealed the sex appeal she brings to her roles comes naturally.

“I don’t think about being sexy or being seductive,” she said. “What you don’t want to see is somebody trying to be sexy. That’s the most unsexy thing.”

Despite having confidence in her natural sexuality, Scarlett is still shocked every time she lands a role.

“It always shocks me, when I get hired for anything. As soon as one project ends you never think you will get the chance again,” she added.

Scarlett Johansson Had Nightmares About Catsuit

Scarlett JohanssonScarlett Johansson admits she was terrified she would spend most of her days trying to get in and out of her skin-tight catsuit for Iron Man 2.

The Hollywood beauty says she heard horror stories of talcum powder and stuck body parts when it came to squeezing into PVC costumes and she had nightmares about putting it on for the first time.

“Thankfully it went on pretty good,” she says. “After the first time of being like ‘Okay it might not go on’, you learn to do quick change and I could get in and out of that thing in a flash really.

“When I first saw it I was like ‘I’ve got to get into that suit and I’ve got to start doing it now!’ So it was just about seeing the suit and that was the challenge, getting into that suit and believing in the suit.”

Scarlett recently blasted the media for trying to guess her weight.

“There was this rumor mill cranking out stories that I had lost 14 pounds — I could never lose 14 pounds,” she told Glamour magazine. “I hate seeing these ridiculous articles where [tabloids] guess someone’s weight.”

“I can’t look at somebody who is 6 feet tall and 120 pounds and say, I’m going to get that body. That’s just never going to happen.”

Scarlett Johansson Secretive About Catsuit

Scarlett JohanssonScarlett Johansson has been “so secretive” about her catsuit for Iron Man 2.

The actress says not even her husband, Ryan Reynolds, knows what his wife looks like in the skin-tight PVC suit.

“I have been so secretive about the suit that I have actually not shown anybody because I want the honest reaction from everybody,” she said. “The only people who have seen the suit are the crew members. But I have kept it close to my chest, even in my family I haven’t shown anybody.

“I can tell you it’s tight! It’s a utilitarian sexy S.W.A.T. type of look. In the comics it’s pushed to the extreme and we tried to make it realistic so the material is functional. And obviously I needed to move a lot because I have big stunt sequences. But boy is that catsuit tight!”

Johansson, 24, recently revealed she felt super-hot in the catsuit.

“The first time I saw the suit I just thought ‘That looks like it’s going to be really really hot! Literally — the temperature was very hot,” she said.

Scarlett Johansson: ‘Stop Guessing my Weight’

Scarlett JohanssonScarlett Johansson hates it when the media tries to guess her weight.

The sexy actress — who is married to hunky actor Ryan Reynolds — says the tabloids need to stop making up stories about her body.

“There was this rumor mill cranking out stories that I had lost 14 pounds — I could never lose 14 pounds,” Scarlett told Glamour magazine. “I hate seeing these ridiculous articles where [tabloids] guess someone’s weight.”

“I can’t look at somebody who is 6 feet tall and 120 pounds and say, I’m going to get that body. That’s just never going to happen,” she admits.

The 25-year-old says she loves her body just the way it is. “You have to work with what you’ve got,” she insisted.

Johansson also revealed that she never thought she’d get married.

“I never really thought about getting married – it just kind of happened,” she said. “It seemed natural, the right thing to do. It was kind of a celebration of the time.

“I think the only difference is that I’m kind of making my own little family now, which is funny.

“It’s like a little bit of a tribe. You hope that a relationship makes you better, that you learn things about yourself.”

Scarlett Johansson: ‘Marriage Just Happened’

Scarlett JohanssonScarlett Johansson says her marriage to Ryan Reynolds just “happened”.

The actress — who tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Canada last year — admits she never really saw herself walking down the aisle.

“I never really thought about getting married – it just kind of happened,” Johansson, 25, tells Glamour magazine in its November issue. “It seemed natural, the right thing to do. It was kind of a celebration of the time.”

“I think the only difference is that I’m kind of making my own little family now, which is funny,” she adds. “It’s like a little bit of a tribe. You hope that a relationship makes you better, that you learn things about yourself.”

Scarlett says she’d love to have a stint on Broadway — but admits she suffers “terrible” stage fright.

“I would love to work on Broadway, but I don’t know that it would manifest itself in musical theater … I have terrible stage fright that I’d have to get over,” she says. “It came on when I was a teenager, and I think it somehow sticks with you.”

“I love to get ready for the red carpet, but being on it is very uncomfortable. It’s so freakish and weird,” she adds. “I get flop sweats, dry mouth, heart palpitations, all-over panic! I did this movie with John Travolta, and every time I looked over at John on the red carpet, he looked so fabulous. So I said to him, ‘What do you do?’ And he said, ‘I go to Hawaii in my mind.’ “

Scarlett Johansson: ‘My House is Full of Comic Books’

Scarlett JohanssonScarlett Johansson and her husband Ryan Reynolds have little room to move at home — because they’re surrounded by comic books!

With both sexy Scarlett and Ryan starring in super hero movies, their house has become strewn with comic books used for researching their characters.

“There is a lot of super hero stuff going on in your family right now,” says Scarlett who plays Black Widow in Iron Man 2 while Ryan is currently filming Green Hornet.

“We have quite a few stacks of comic books. We’re in completely different universes but it’s fun to get into that whole world together even if there is quite a stack of comic books taking up space.”

It was recently claimed that Reynolds has turned to his The Proposal costar Sandra Bullock to help him save his marriage to Johansson.

“Ryan and Scarlett have been going through a rough patch,” a snitch told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “Sandra is helping them weather it. She told them that every marriage has its problems — hers included.

“But she says they can get through it if they’re willing to put the time and effort into making things work, even if it means going to couples counseling.

“No one knows better than Sandra how to juggle marriage with a Hollywood career. Her relationship with Jesse James has been solid since they got hitched more than four years ago.

“Because Sandra and Jesse seemed so different, no one gave their union much hope for lasting as long as it has. Sandra told Ryan the most important thing is that he and Scarlett need to make time for one another, even though they both have busy schedules.

“She told him, ‘There is no substitute for togetherness.’ Sandra pointed out that she and Jesse take quick vacations together — just hopping on the back of his bike and hitting the road.

“Ryan listens to Sandra because he has tremendous respect for her as a person and an actress.”

Scarlett Johansson ‘Catsuit Costume Was Hot’

Scarlett JohanssonScarlett Johansson says she felt super-hot in her catsuit for Iron Man 2.

The movie beauty admits the temperate — of her body! — soared when she put on the sexy, skin-tight costume.

“The first time I saw the suit I just thought ‘That looks like it’s going to be really really hot! Literally — the temperature was very hot,” she said.

Johansson, 24, recently revealed that she was desperate to get into shape for Iron Man 2 because she was worried about donning the aforementioned Lycra outfit.

“I was so incredibly dedicated because what would be worse than failing — especially failing in a Lycra catsuit,” she said.

“I cannot imagine anything more embarrassing so I put my all into it.

“I was surprised to find that I could get in shape and kick ass.”

“I don’t know if that is where it’s going to go but she is definitely a big part of The Avengers and she has many different incarnations and different storylines so I’m hoping she will be able to continue in that way.

“I’m hoping that if the fans like the character and support the character, we’ll see her again.”

Scarlett Johansson: ‘Looking Tough is a Challenge’

Scarlett JohanssonScarlett Johansson worked out hard for her role as the Black Widow in Iron Man 2 — but she found convincing herself she looked the part harder than training for it.

The Hollywood beauty admits she was petrified about locking horns with costars twice her size.

“I did a lot of stunt training, weight training and all that stuff for Iron Man,” she said. “It took strength training to try to fit that mold. I wanted to be able to look at something and go, ‘Okay, I’m going to knock the s**t out of that person.’

“To believe that is a challenge in itself, especially when you’re 5′3″ and fighting someone who’s seemingly a giant. You have to be able to have conviction in that. That was just as much of a challenge as the actual physical part of it.”
